Would the big price changes not be to do with this?

'...Tesco says it is investing £500 million in its 'Big Price Drop' which begins on Monday.
The supermarket will cut the cost of more than 3,000 products such as milk, bread, fruit, vegetables and other essentials.
It's not all good news on price drops as Tesco will also remove some multi-buy offers'
I'm sure that's some of it, but that doesn't explain the "unforeseen circumstances" or the manager's comments. You wouldn't need to go in at 6am to get the new price reductions on groceries, and it doesn't explain the 5p and 10p SELs seen. Anyone?Hope is not a strategy.0 -

Hi all I did post yesterday when I had been to my local tesco the tesco extra in d*rrington s*ssex and I had spoken to a helpful member of staff who had told me there had been a major mistake at tesco but it had not reached our store. I did ask if everyone had thought this was a mistake like he had said?? Maybe it was as there was not one single thing there for pennys?? I might be wrong but just wonder??0

It was the same member of staff who told me yesterday there were no ebook readers, cheap laptops or netbooks, then said when I asked this morning they had sold them all yesterday! There were 4 members of staff checking all the cameras, sat navs etc and saying things like no I want one of the £20 ones. They were too busy scanning stuff to help customers and I have no doubt they will all be going home with cheap cameras and laptops today!
One of the staff was grabbing all the camerea's off the shelf and scanning them at the till whilst I was there saying to all the staff 'Ohh this ones only £30' and the lady serving me was saying 'what make is it?' 'whats the pixel on it?' 'oh yes I'll have it' etc
We all want a bargin staff or customers but she was only scanning them for the staff and she was not doing it discreatly as it was right infront of me and other customers so couldn't help but see it all.
You should have seen how many camera's where put behind the till for them.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.
No place in the world that can compare ♥ 2nd October 2010 ♥0 -

Im desperately in need of a new laptop or net book (not several just the one
....) as my has totally had it. I have made 4 trips to N0rw1ch Blu3 B04r this weekend and nothing and the other local store was as bad - any one else had any luck in the area ? -
Im contemplating an early start but not holding out much hope given my 4 trips to each in the last 2 days (OH thinks Im nuts) . I never get any of the really good T bargains on here but Im so pleased for all you others that are managing to find them - I obviously don't have the knack or the stores here just don't want to play!
If anyone spots anything in our neck of the woods I'd be gratfeul of a heads up - not being lazy I have tried, but no success for this newbie as yet. Thanks all0 -
