I challenge you to eat an unrefridgerated chicken or prawn sandwich that after 6 hours.

    Have done, many times.

    What do I win?

High quality, cooked and cured meats will not kill you.

    Neither will eating at subway.

what your advocating is lunacy in that people should always take sandwiches out with them even if they dont get hungry during a period of time during the day.

    Stop being silly.

That isn't what I am saying at all.

All it takes are some basic organisational skills and a few minutes at home, and you should have no need to purchase takeaway food.

You clueless fool, how many people either do not have the time or items in the fridge to make food,

    Sort yourself out, stop trolling.

    I dont normaly buy.

baguettes, turkey, ham, red onion, hot chilli sauce. So subway seems like the place to go if you want that.

plus baguettes go abit stale overnight so a full size baguettes would be a waste.

    Why not takeaway food?

Takeaway is no better or worse for me than the home made profiteroles i made last night. The key, is moderation and not to live on them. Too much of anything is bad for you.

On one thread you're saying support local deli (not chain owned) and then on this thread saying make your own, its cheaper. The only local shops i have are tesco and asda.......no choice to choose non-chains. However, ironically enough, 90% of our takeaway places are local businesses that are not part of a chain (the only exception is mcdonalds and dhillons).

So, what do you suggest i do? Starve?

Rinktel is the multi username that secretly loves subway but keeps signing up to slag it off. Sort of a sexual thing for him/her/it I think.

I would spend the time preparing my lunch, but don't think I could get a full english in the box. Praise be to the Sandwich hut on the corner, a builders butty and a brew is the only kickstart I need, not bad for £2.50

But your missing what other people are saying to you - people have said they dont always eat take away every day between their scheduled meal times - they use it as a convenience IF they get hungry.

No point making a packed lunch every day if your not going to eat it is there? Thats wasting food.

    Now stop being silly.

may i suggest that you take a trip to a pub, to actually drink lots of alcohol.. then you can come back and try and tell us that you'd rather go home and cook than purchase takeaway food.
