Yeah but you're a mum so you're entitled to do a bit of that ;)

Oxford dictionary: a Japanese school of mahayana Buddhism emphasizing the value of meditation and intuition rather than ritual worship or study of scriptures. Zen Buddhism was introduced in japan from China in the 12th century, and has had a profound cultural influence. The aim of Zen is to achieve sudden enlightenment (satori) through meditation in a seated posture (zazen), usually under the guidance of a teacher and often using paradoxical statements (koans) to transcend rational thought.

What does this mean for people from the western culture? An obvious trend is emerging where people as seeking simplicity and authenticity. People want to be creative again and do things with their own hands and grow their own food. Also generally there is a need for a slower pace. Some people want to go further and connect to their spirituality (not necessary same thing as religion) and want to get to know themselves better.

What does this mean to me? For me the simplicity means that I would get rid of all the clutter, yes I have been talking for years about this now and I really hope that after next exams I can start making some progress. Also it means that I have proper working routines so that my mind is not cluttered with undone tasks and chaos. It would also mean to make time for me to follow my dream and have courage to take those steps. And finally function as a whole being by nourishing my mind, body and soul.

I leave you with a question: Are you a physical being having a spiritual experience or a spiritual being having a physical experience?

Bitsy if that is how your life is working for you then go for it. :)

However if that was the case I don't think I should be able to see you, you would be vibrating so fast that there would be no physical being to see.

Ok so short one tonight. Very busy weekend ahead and on Sunday evening I am scooting off to the continent for work and won't be back until Friday.

Today I was chatting with a colleague. Basically I was telling him what I did at the time when I came into this country and also how that particular work was so different where I came from. He then made a comment about our present job to which I said that "It is what you make it".

I have been thinking about that sentence ever since. How true it is. If you start thinking about things in your life they really are what you make them. When facing a difficult situation or relationship there is always two choises: To take it or to leave it. And if you for what ever reason choose to take it you can always make the best of it.

I really need to re-read secret as I feel that this is the key. It is all good for "putting the order" to the universe but if you don't start finding the ingredients (the essence) of the what you aspire for from your life as it is here and now the order a) won't get processed b) get delayed. I guess this comes back to the sentence from the other night that if you learn to love hell you are in heaven.

Also I have been thinking about spirituality, vibration, speed and stuff and thinking if Einstein's equation could be applied to it. But I am way too tired for that now, that is another post for another time.

it is interesting that you have written this Marru. To take it or to leave it. and it is what you make it.

I have been struggling for a year and a half to make the best of my job.

Making it what I can, but I cannot take it anymore. I hate going there and so look forward to Wednesday, knowing I will not be back for 5 days.

Tonight we were discussing trying to get DS into school early as he is very ready for it and will not be going until next september which I think is a long time for him without education.

Anyhow, DH said if he goes early, then you can go full time, yes? and you will have no nursery costs, yes?

I said yes no nursery costs, but I will look for another job to go full time. I could not handle going in 5 days a week here.

then I realised none of this is true. Unless the job is school hours, who is going to take DS to school and pick him until I get home?

A childminder? I am back to having costs again! There is no breakfast club or after school club, at the school I want him to get into.

I struggled with the secret. tried to finish it, renewed it 3 times and gave up, and handed it back.

I cannot love hell, I am trying but it is getting so bad, even the other day I told my colleagues to stop arguing and to leave it until I was off for the week to continue. I just could not take it anymore.

Maybe this is the kick up the bum to try and get another job or find something to do from home?

Aesop - both. Keep looking for another part time job. If you are really clear what is the essence of this new job and keep talking to people (not your colleagues obviously) then the new job will come. In the meanwhile go to your present job, do your best, be content with what you achieve, leave and shut the door after the day and don't think about it until you go back. The skills you use will come handy in what ever it is that you will be doing next.

BUT! Also start creating something on the side that says AESOP in big letters. Something that is really you, something that makes you happy and see if you can create some income that way. It might take off big time or it might just provide the respite that you need.

thank you! There is something I want to do, just an idea wandering around my head at the moment, can't work out how to start it, but know someone to ask. It's like you read my mind...lol. :D
