  • Big Shop for the month done today. Spent £174.21 in L*dl and T*sco, took a list and didn't deviate from it at all. Great deal at T*sco on Branston beans, 4 pack was £2.75, buy one get 2 FREE!! So 12 tins of beans for £2.75! Plus had already bought a 4 pack from Lidl at £1.74 so essentially 16 tins for £4.49. Guess we'll be eating a lot of beans this month!!!! :p
Freezer, fridge and cupboards fit to burst!!! I am very determined this month to stay within budget!!!!

    Hi All

I would like to rejoin this month. Slipped of the wagon again for a couple of months:o but now ready to get back on board.

£425 for the month please. This is for Me, DH and DD's (8 & 7) plus the dog. This includes all shopping (toiletries, cleaning stuff, takeaways, wine etc).

DD2 has tonsillitis so didnt get to do my supermarket trip on Wednesday but a quick pop into local Co-op so £42 spend in there but did get 4 packs of half price chicken breasts for the freezer.

I also have an order coming from Mr S this afternoon, I expect it to be around the £180 mark but it includes all the stuff for my meal plan for the next 3 weeks (except for a top up of milk and fresh veggies) and includes hubbies shaving stuff plus washing detergent.

I will starting using my spending app on my phone again to keep on the straight and narrow. I will be happy to come in on our allocated budget this month. I think next month I may do a trip to the farm shop for meat and then a trip to the market in the next town for veggies to see how that effects the budget.

Fingers crossed it all goes to plan:)

  • Had my first spends of the month: £1.55 for milk, £2.24 for Rock's squash, 27p for Ariel stain remover (with voucher) and £1.75 for a bottle of Pear and ginger cider for OH - new release from Magners - so £5.81 in total.
I've decided to include wine, cider etc we buy in the supermarket but any that comes from Laithwaites etc will go under the miscellaneous budget:o
We're out tonight at the all you can eat Chinese - its a really nice one as its not a buffet - you order off a menu and they make it to order.
Off just now for a bimble around town with my MIL we'll go to all the bargain shops so I'll see what I find, I'm on the lookout for pasta sauce.
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly :D
