    Thanks helen jelly :)

I am going to have to up my budget to £300 this month :( With a new baby I now have 2 in nappies full time and 1 in nappies just at night. I'm also dieting to lose the baby weight (at 5 weeks my littlie decided she didn't want to breast feed anymore (sorry if TMI) so dieting is OK!) whih involves lots less food on offer (which tends to err towards the junky stuff) and more fresh, whole foods (oat bran anyone??). Also added expense of formula milk ...

Still, onwards and upwards I'll see how I get on and adjust for folloing months :) So far I have spent £49 on a delivery from Sains and £19.50 at Mr T :D
Part time GCer, NSDer, Comper and (Bad)Flylady :o
A big shot is just a little shot that kept shooting ...
  • Thanks Helen Jelly :)

I am going to have a go at this. Need to set aside £55 for school dinners and about £25 for nappies (will come to just under but I'd rather over than underestimate) so £80 off even before food. Will aim for £250 for all other food and drinks etc for two adults and two children and one cat.
    ETA starting tomorrow.

I just wanted to say thank you to both Helen Jelly and Natty68 who have both offered to help out with the budgets/totals lists this month.

It is so kind of you both to offer to give up your time in this way and I'm sure that I speak for all of the regulars on the thread as well as the board guides in saying that we are all really grateful for your help.:A:A

  • NSD in terms of groceries. The kids and I went to the cinema in the morning as I found an Odeon deal where the kids cost £2.50 each and I was free - woohoo - took our own drinks and snacks (not allowed probably - opps) so watched film and treated the kids for £5.....not bad I though.

  • Hi

Totals done to post 47 - if I've missed you can you please repost as thereis so much to read lol
Also shout if I've got your name or total wrong

    Thanks everyone

    Helen

You are a star Helen for doing this (And all the others who produce this thread!) If you get chance please can you correct my name on the list (it's showing as PadyPaws, should be PaddyPaws - it was wrong last month and I've only just noticed). The budget amount is right (£250)

Did my first shop today, spent £15.92 in A!di, and tomorrow's fruit box will be £11.99 but hopefully nothing else to spend until next week. I hope not anyway, although I have my nephews staying for the weekend (18 yrs and 14 yrs and they've both got hollow legs) so any extras whilst they're here will come out of the entertainment pot.
    cheers

Well it is a good start to the month for me with a NSD, hopefully the first of many.
I know I will need to get some milk tomorrow, but if I only take £5 in cash with me and leave my debit card at home, I won't be able to give in to temptation!
