Finished a shower gel, well my hubby did. It seems not buying him a separate shower gel when he was out of work and making him use mine has had a good effect as 1) he's not moaning about having to use up the shower gel I already have despite the fact they're Avon ones and he has a thing about Avon for some reason and 2) he's helping me out by using up my stash. I hate to think how many shower gels I have left now (as I lost my most up to date stash list so relying on an older one) but at least with both of us using them they will be gone before I realise :D (or am I being a bit optimistic with my stash list showing I have in the region of 50 shower gels!!?)

Also was really good and gave a girl at work my £5.00 boots voucher as I know she uses No 7 (and before you start questioning me I acquired it whilst topping up my phone :-))
    Did owe £9,951.96

Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

More UUs: l'Occitane 4 Reines hand cream 15ml (it's nice, but not the nicest I've ever had).

Also - FINALLY - I have used up my large Soap & Glory Clean on Me shower gel. :j :j :j

WIBA? Nope! It's nice, but not my HG (which is Original Source Mint & Tea Tree) and it lasts FOREVER. I'm aware that in many ways this is a good thing, but I've had enough of it.

I've only got the same size in that Soap & Glory green stuff (Wash of Your Life?) to use up, too. :rotfl:

Never lasted more than 6 months with the same guy, so no ideas about a gifty thing, but I like the idea of the picnic - maybe combine the picnic and the stargazing ??

Hi lovelies. Ok, so I need some help in coming up with fabulous ideas. Not toiletry related but you seem an inventive bunch :-)

Thursday will be my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. I am trying to think of something to get him/do for him - I'd rather think romantic but manly! Anyone have any fab ideas I can steal?

    :-)

If you are a phototaker there are loads of codes for free photobooks? My OH loves them as reminders of things we've done and places we've been :D I love the picnic idea too - would love to do something like that but the dogs would eat it :rotfl:

I'm feeling the same way about this one. Haven't much left. Am using 5 pumps a day in the hope of finishing it soon.

Had some INs yesterday but most were freebie samples in the post:-

3 x sachets of Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint. Saw a kit on QVC yesterday with this in on a Try Me Price which I would love to get but will see how the sachets work first. The rest of the kit (for once) contains all products that I'd use and are handy travel sizes for my hols.

1 x sample of Britney Spears new fragrance. Emma tried it on and it smelt lovely.

Whilst grocery shopping picked up 2 x deodorants - one for me (can't remember the brand) which was on offer (roll on) and a can of Soft & Gentle for Emma.

So quite good apart from my hankering after the QVC goodies. MrM was not impressed considering it's close to the holidays. I tried to plead to his usual generous nature by reminding him that I have been good and not bought anything from them for ages. Alas my attempts were futile. Watch this space though. I have a way of wearing him down!! lol.

And I watched the OPI hour last night and felt nothing! Usually I ooh and aaah at a couple of colours but nothing. Perhaps our love affair is finally over.

Painted my nails last night and am wearing Leighton Denny Supermodel - an all time favourite.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    Morning ladies,

Rosemary - don't worry, I went and had a peer at my bathroom cabinet and resisted the BS offer, although the made it easy as they've stopped a lot of the gift sets I liked.

Flirtini - I agree with sarah*a's suggestion of a photobook. Did this once for my hubby and he was really pleased.

VALM - that new LE sheer skin tint sounds interesting. Let us know what it's like.

    I have one UU:
Baylis & Harding iced peppermint body lotion, 50ml. WNBA. Still haven't changed my mind, still don't like B&H. 6 down, 2 to go.

    And one IN:
Wella scalp lotion. This was a free loyalty gift from the hairdresser and my old one has virtually run out, so this classes as a necessary IN.

    Have a good Sunday

    I'm after picking some brains.

Whilst I was in Wales with my family my sis and daughter styled my hair for me using a Babyliss Rapide hot air brush, so that my bob was nicely curled under and my hair looked really thick. Splendid result.

I was going to treat myself to a hot air brush, but dug out a round brush from the pound shop or Savers that I've had for some time and got a really good result using just the brush and my ancient hair dryer, having got my hair 80% dry for starters before styling. I gave it a spritz of spray gel (forgot to mention that as an IN, oops) to help hold it as the day was rather damp. It's held all day.

Today I bought a ceramic brush from Primark for the princely sum of £1.50, a slightly smaller barrel, so I have a choice of curl sizes.

Sooo..... any hot air brush users out there who swear by the things?
Because my hair is fine, it does tend to take a curl, I've had it ruined by a perm before now.

Shall I stick with decent results from Primark and Savers brushes and ancient Pifco hairdryer?

Any reasons why a hot air brush is soooo much better? Does anyone swear by them?

Mcculloch29 - YOu have a big YES vote from me. Until I got my hair chopped at Xmas I used one every day. My hair is fine and I found that it really helped give my hair some extra volume whilst almost smoothing done and flyaway bits. Over the years I did go through quite a few but I would recomend the investment in one. I still have my last one put away safely in case I decide to grow my hair again, it will be there for me.
Hey everyone. Went to the cinema to see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy today. Was a very good film. :)

    One UU to report today:

Olay Complete Care Daily UV Cream - WIBA? - I'm not sure, to be honest. It did last for ages but I'm not sure it really did anything to my skin (apart from making it more red to start off with. My skin is so sensitive!). I think I would rather experiment with other moisturisers before I opt for this one again.

I went to see it on Friday night too - It felt like a real old style dramatic thriller - I really liked it too.

I was out on the town last night and at last had the opportunity to start on my Sally Hanson Airbrush Legs spray. I had put on my St Tropez but the colour wasn't deep enough for me esp. on my legs. So I used the spray and I am really impressed with it. Thankfully the colour doesn't look like American Tan Tights rather a really natural shade. Great coverage and feels really silky. I am shocked how long this has been in my stash and never been used - it must be 6 years . With my luck, it may now have been discontinued. I bought it in the states so I will have a look in Nov.

Totally forgot to post my INs

4 x Nivea Daily Essentials Face Wipes bought from HB.

I also was a bit naughty last night. I was deciding what perfume to wear and what I could take out with me - so it had to fit in my bag. Despite having several opened small sizes I felt the need for something new and opened my Prada handbag sized with a beautiful silver keyring canister. Oh well PRSC and all that
