Well yesterday was spent doing more washing and only used the TD for 10mins to fluff up the towels ;)

It was a NSD which I realised was the first one in Oct. Have set my target lower for this month and hopefully it will be achievable.

I found it was actually too hot to sit out in the garden so cleared out DDs bedroom and have 2 large bags for charity. Not quite the huge clear out I had planned but it's a start.

I still have quite a bit of de-cluttering to do and I may post a list on here of the things to be done and use it as an incentive to get them. Will think about that later.

Am feeling quite virtuous today as managed to hang out a load of washing on the airers in the garden, put another load on, give the bathroom and loo a quick swipe and clean the kitchen sink and worktops all before leaving for work. I do hope I can maintain my clean and tidy house for the longer term and avoid the CHAOS as Flylady puts it.

Anyhow I just nipped on here during a break so I had better get back to work.

Lol trust me Flee I have been meaning to do DDs room for weeks!CBA is usually my middle name.

MTG don't get up that early am lucky that kids are at that completely self sufficient age on a morning once DD is dragged from bed and tbh only took 15 mins or so as quick swishes in bathroom and loo.

Mind you am in bed already watching tv. But have done 1 load of washing which is on airers to dry and quickly dusted lounge and dining room. Housework really doesn't take long if I keep on top of it and mpst importantly the tidying. Please do remind me of this in a couple of weeks when I have let it slip and am moaning bout state of house.

Am off to catch up on other diaries before I crash.

Hi Diary - a very busy and long day at work. Despite early start managed the quick swish of bathroom n loo and a load in to wash.

Slept very badly last night so exhausted today. Have managed quick load of PE kit in the wash this evening, quick tidy of kids cr*p and help DD with homework. Large glass of wine in hand and reckon bed in next half hour.

Sorry diary for being boring but hey life is like that at times.

Well done on the fly lady stuff

    Meal planning definitely helps

Lecturing people on the cost of stuff sometimes also necessary

    Hiding some of the food

Buying less at a time so not eaten quicker....

I also downshift most of my stuff - using mysupermarket suggestions. I hardly use any branded goods any more

    Hi Fuzzybear

Well done keeping on top of everything. You're motivating me to get back into the flylady routine. My house is like a bombsite lately. :o

I'm also struggling with the NSDs. They're more difficult than you think! But I'm trying to stay positive and remember that even one is better than none. It's a process of learning for me, I think, so keeping on trying is the key.

    Have a great day. :)

Didn't get time to post yesterday as we are going away today for a couple of nights so was busy at work getting stuff cleared and then getting packed and organised.

That led me to being naughty and ordering a takeaway :naughty: but it was delicious

MTG - glad your DH is of help around the house - must make life easier :)

SH - my meal planning has not got started propery yet - I had the one week where I was organised and had ordered healthy stuff for kids lunchboxes and put some of it away in an 'out of bounds box'. This last week have been giving the kids money - must make more of an effort! Ooh that sounds like an old school report ;)

Ani - I am getting the flylady emails - rather long but help keep me motivated. Am not doing it fully but at least doing the quick 15mins on a morning is helping things on the surface to remain tidy and clean so at least I can open the door to people! And I am doing a load a day and doing quick tidy round before bed. It makes such a difference. Although I do feel I am going round in circles sometimes!

I haven't done my list of stuff to de-clutter yet. Maybe I will do that on Sunday.

I'll be a bit quiet over next few days and definitely won't be having any NSD's but there's plenty left of the month to make up for it. Hopefully ;)

Have a good rest of the week everyone :)

Well we are back and had an absolutely fab time but it was most definitely not an MSE break. Not gonna beat myself up about it though.

Catching up with all the washing today and will have to pop out for a few bits as doing a traditional Sunday roast. Feel in desparate need of some veggies after having eaten out on what felt like unhealthy junk. Other than that will be relaxing as worn out from last few days.
