Thanks everyone
The weekend is nearly here and the forecast is for a lovely one :T
The plan is to spend the weekend at home sorting the garden for the winter. I need to avoid the post payday temptation of going shopping. Yes there is lots of money in my account today but it has all been allocated to budgets and needs to be used accordingly.
There is a lot of expenditure this month as fees for kids activities are due for the term. Also we are away next weekend, the hotel and train tickets are paid for so it will just be eating and activities. Will be encouraging the kids to make the most of the hotel breakfast
Thank goodness it is a 4 week month:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( = £13000 to pay off

Keep reminding yourself that the money is accounted for. If you do have any surplus - could you withdraw that - and use that for treats. Hypno used to play a game - not sure if she still does but on how long she could make £20 last on non-essentials. She is ace at it! Perhaps you could set yourself a mini-challenge like that.
Good that you have something to look forward to - I always find that helps tooAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I have treats built into the budget so should be ok.
Woohoo it's the weekend :T Needless to say I have a houseful of kids which I am about to feed. Have tried making my own version of a well known Mexican food brands crispy fajitas - hopefully will work out ok
No specific plans this weekend other than sorting the garden and then spend the weekend chilling in it with the odd glass of wine or two
Hope everyone has a fab weekend. Days hot enough to sunbathe and BBQ in October - how mad is that??:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( = £13000 to pay off

Well the verdict on the crispy fajitas was 'ooohkay' which means not great but not cr*p. So I will go with that and do again

ooh I hit return and post submitted before I was ready!!
Had a charity bag through the door that will accept bric a brac - they are becoming few and far between these days as most only want clothes. Anyway that has prompted me to do a big clear out this weekend - I will be ruthless. In between being sat in the garden with a glass of something cold
That allows me to walk past the box shakers and the students with the clipboards wanting me to donate only £2 a month guilt free. 'I already donate to the charity of my choice' is the response I give. Although strictly speaking the 'choice' bit is not quite true as it depends on which bag lands on the doormat!:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( = £13000 to pay off

Hi FB - its still a choice. Yes one of the things that had to give when we started clearing out debts was how much we gave to charity... We now try to give in other ways including our time, charity bags etc... It is also very satisfying to declutter but only for brief periods of course!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hello diary I am sat out in a neat and tidy garden wearing shorts and a vest top with a well deserved chilled glass of vino
I would like to think it is the last mow of the year but with this barmy or should that be balmy weather who knows??
Several loads of washing done and no use of the TD. I found an old airer in the shed which I thought I had binned which will really help in my quest to reduce TD useage
Hope everyone else is having the glorious weather and making the most of it:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( = £13000 to pay off

Hi FB - well done on finding the airer - that is fab news.
Well done on all the washing - I still need to start mine. Today was spent tidying, cleaning, shopping for food for MIL and preparing a buffet, She only went an hour or so ago so only just managing to rest..Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
