Well done on the NSDs - I am obviously a terrible spender as I think I am still only on one NSD for the month!

  • Finally DD's temp is getting back to normal and she seems more like herself so fingers crossed on the mend and can go back to school tomorrow.

I was so tempted to order in a takeaway tonight as vv tired after 2 nights disrupted sleep but have resisted (tbh in part cos DD won't eat anything) and have taken mince out of the freezer and made a bolognaise.

Have also been good (for me) and only used TD for 60 mins over 5 loads of washing just doing the smalls and drying off some kit needed for school.

Did find myself this afternoon perusing the Lakeland catalogues while DD was snoozing. Must throw them away as it is sooo tempting - was looking at the electric airer and thinking that would help me stop using TD but it will cost £80. Will see how I get on for a few months before investing.

Gosh I must be getting better - previously it would have been ordered and on it's way ;)

I would skip on the electronic airer - struggle to see how that would be an improvement on the tumble drier. I would want to know how long you would have to use it for before it saved you more than it cost - HTH

Glad your DD is getting better

    Yay to payday

If you really need something for airing your clothes - then look on freecycle LOL

  • Hope your DD is feeling better Fuzzy, my little DD still has a nose running like a tap, poor babies xx

  • Well packed DD off to school thinking she was better only to have to go and collect her. I guess at least there can be no accusation of faking it ;)

MTG - hope your DD is better soon

SH - apparently airer costs only pennies an hour to run but as I have central heating it probably won't make much difference in speed of drying. Though I hasten to add I won't be putting the heating on just to dry the washing!!! Can't believe it's nearly October and apart from a couple of chilly evenings have not had to put it on. When checking my account online my spend on gas is a lot less than this time last year :) Electricity is about the same but hopefully if I can continue with reduced tumble drier useage it should come down.

As it is payday I made my first payment off my debt :T which equates to a quarter of a :( Have not had a statement for the second card yet so will wait for that before making a payment against it.

It is such a nice feeling to know that every payment I make reduces the debt by the exact same amount :D

Yes I enjoyed watching the balances go down on my snowball account.... I sometimes even did pretty graphs to illustrate it. The factory tickers are nice- they are free on the web and it will show you what percentage you've paid off - you may want to give that a go
