In case anyone else wants to watch the aforementioned video:

Thanks for sharing the link, I have had notification that someone has complained to youtube and the video may be removed for breaching their privacy rules (I don't think it does)
I have just recieved a letter, however its nothing more than a generic reply from customer services.
Its a shame LOOPS never finished her story, especially after all the help she got!
Ill keep you updated on mine. Lets hope planet cruise simply pay me back. Its only £400!0 -

Fizzer,
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure you have a legal case against them.
Telling you that you wouldn't have a problem getting travel insurance is simply seller's puff; their way of encouraging a sale. It'd be no different if they told you that the weather would be good: they don't control the weather, they don't provide insurance so they aren't in the position to make promises regarding either.
In legal terms it's the equivalent of saying that a second hand car is a 'good little runner'.
Hope you're able to get some satisfaction, perhaps a goodwill gesture with regards to the deposit, so that you can book something else.

I agree, it is up to the individual to check the insurance out before making a booking. We had to do that before we booked to take my MIL on holiday to the states, if she hadn't been able to get cover for pre existing conditions then we would not have booked for her. I hold no brief for PC but tbh I think the buck stopped with you on this one.0

I agree that its the up to the individual to get insurance. I would think it wouldn't be impossible but very expensive with hsi medical history.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I mentioned having problems with my booking. I did get a reply back that they were investigating, sorry to hear I was not happy etc. Then nothing else so I contacted ABTA. I have now received booking details which confirm my original agreement with them and the deposit I had already paid against a future cruise direct to RCI. Also a voucher for £200 if I booked a future cruise!0
