  • So, payday's a week on Monday (21st) and have exactly £50.76 in my account (not in the overdraft, yay!)

One more bill to come out, which is also exactly £50.76 :)

Have £60 cash for food etc. in my wallet so should end this month outside the overdraft.

Picked up another two pieces of work in the past couple of days, one for £200 and one for £400 - currently got 5 pieces of work on the go.

  • My pay day is this Friday coming... just got to get there!
    DEBT TOTAL: £7609.44
  • Invoiced a client for £700 today and got paid straight away, should arrive in my account on Friday hopefully... £396 of it is mine after fees/tax savings etc.

I aim to pay £300 of that straight to the Santander loan and put the remainder toward Christmas presents.

My ideal would be to get the Santander loan under £3k by the end of the year, should be doable if I can keep my extra work up!

Got a feeling the balance sheet will drop below £17k on my next update, that will feel good.

  • Can I ask what it is you do for work? You seem to be doing really well reducing your debt :)

  • Completed another job, invoiced and received £400 payment today... think I'll miss the freelance site cut off to get it transferred to my bank account by Friday, but should arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Profit is £226.80 after tax savings & fees.

Another client has also said a different job will be submitted in a day or two and my development part is pretty much finished (I request payment on submission, not on development completion), so that's another £200 - albeit by cheque which will take longer to process but I don't have to pay the 5.5% fees on that payment, just the 40% tax!!!

Will be down to two concurrent freelance jobs at that point - think I'll spend tonight touting for more work :)

Forgot about a work expense claim too for a taxi... only £11.20 but done the paperwork for that now, ready to post tomorrow.

It's all going straight to the Santander loan, apart from a negligible 10%ish I take from it for treats :)

£200 freelance job completed, cheque in post first thing tomorrow!

Managed to get a few good bids in on new work last night, hopefully one or two of those will come to fruition.

The £400 job from yesterday must have just made the deadline - expecting both payments to arrive in my bank on Friday :)

    Work expense claim posted.

6 days to payday and counting.

  • The £50.76 'last bill of the month' payment has gone out of my bank account - at the same time as a £3 Quidco cashback payment went in.

I might actually end the month with a CREDIT on my account, never before heard of!

  • Thats cool. I'm 53p in credit this month. I think we're both doing quite well :)

  • We are both doing well Squidge, the diaries must be working!

£200 cheque for the job I spoke of arrived in the post this morning, so will deposit that into the bank on Saturday.

Still busy with the other jobs, phew!
