  • Did pretty well not drinking for the best part of last week - until Wednesday!

Went away on a work thing for a few days with some work friends so had a fair bit of beer...

At least I get to claim the expense back through work

Budget is still going pretty well, we're both still doing the shopping diary.

I will go back into my overdraft slightly before payday but that doesn't concern me - I didn't have enough left over from the loan to clear it fully so will budget extra hard for next month to ensure I don't enter it and pay £1 a day for the privilege.

Feeling pretty good about it all to be honest :)

  • Rang Santander and upped the DD to £150 - this puts everything in line to end within the next 3 years if I do nothing but pay the DD's on all our unsecured debt :)

Also got confirmation off them regarding one off payments/standing orders, so I can throw any extra money at the Santander loan too.

A good 0% or low LOB credit card deal would make this perfect for me :) If Lloyds TSB aren't forthcoming then I'll wait until the new year and try and get a new card with a decent offer (wary to attempt anything now until the electoral roll has been updated and the 'heat' from the loan application has gone!).

  • Last couple of days have been NSDs for me - think the OH has spent some of her cash on bread & milk though :)

Picked up a small one-off job which should bring in about £40 in a week or two - that'll be going direct to Santander.

Completed quite a few surveys today on MySurvey, Vivatic, Onepoll and Toluna. The MySurvey survey was 500 points! (550 points gets you a £5 voucher). Everybody's getting presents from Amazon this year - paid for with as many vouchers as I can earn!

  • Paid £81.67 residual interest off the Halifax CC today, hoping that it's really paid off now!

Expecting to have to do similar to the Lloyds TSB CC when the statement comes through too, meh.

Going to go check in on the mortgaged house tomorrow - not looking forward to it as it almost makes me feel ill to go anywhere near it, it's empty, and I haven't been to it in at least 3 years! :(

  • Visit to the property wasn't as bad as I expected, garden is a right old mess and there was a lot of letters though!

Did a shop yesterday and spent £67. Hoping that will keep us going for the best part of 2 weeks, with additional milk & bread top ups. Treat us all to fish & chips last night too :)

Got through quite a few surveys today and completed the one-off job.

Contemplating going to see a solicitor in the new year regarding the property and getting it all sorted out. Will put some deep thought into it and make a decision in the new year.

  • Glad you're getting stuff sorted out. I've been given a new reason to get debt free as soon as and sticking to all my budgets :)

  • Got paid £45 for that small one-off freelance job today and managed to pick another up for £180!

The £45 will go straight to the Santander loan as soon as it hits my bank account.

The residual interest on the Lloyds TSB CC came to £29.23, will get paid by direct debit on the 31st. I'll phone them then and enquire about any existing customer balance transfer deals ;)

Been going survey mad recently and almost at payout on a few sites and have a few Amazon vouchers already earned to put toward Christmas.

Roll on payday (8 days to go!)

  • I get paid on the 21st too. Hanging out for this one. Sold OH's old iPhone 3G to mazuma and got the £70 quid through today thank goodness, will keep me going until Payday. Then from then on I should be able to make it through to payday every month OK, as it will be my first debt free month in 10 years.
