Ah the hoard of clothes-I-will fit-into-as-soon-as-I-finish-this-diet. I think I must have a wardrobe full of those! Including a tennis dress I bought 10 years ago that I never wore, perhaps because a) I don't play tennis and b) I wouldn't fit into it if I was run over by a herd of elephants! Fortunately I have got over my buying-clothes-as-inspiration-to-lose-weight phase. And of course you're probably much better at looking after yourself than I am PBR, so good luck with fitting into those post-pregnancy.
Seems like you've been very organised with the ebaying and Christmas planning yourself PBR - well done! Will you be getting any OPs out of those sales?Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

I seem to have done this too. When having DD I put weight on everywhere but this time I seem to be "normal" everywhere else except my stomach! i weighed myself at my mums on the weekend and have put on 2 stone (1 of which I am hoping to lose just by giving birth) so that's not bad really. I can live with having to lose a stone.

Poor PBR! Some days the world conspires against you doesn't it? All I can suggest regarding workmen and massage therapists is try the Noticeboard in the Local to you section netmums - I've found people on there are slightly more responsive than most other websites. Having said which I still haven't been able to find a mobile therapist for a pregnancy massge myself - the mobile ones all seem to be on maternity leave!Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

and not just the weight of the baby either. don't forget all that water he/she is swimming about in!Having said which I still haven't been able to find a mobile therapist for a pregnancy massge myself - the mobile ones all seem to be on maternity leave!
:rotfl::rotfl:that sounds typical.
can't believe the garderner insulted you PBR.
know what you mean about bending down though. Shoes and socks are very difficult at the moment. how do really obese people manage to cope with their day to day lives?? I'm so glad it's only temporary for me. I couldn't live like this all the time.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

I did that too so finished work quite early. It was def worth it.
I've been into town this morning. Had to go get my eyebrows waxed. Didn't really want to go as when I was pregnant with DD and had my eyebrows done quite late on I nearly passed out due to having to lie on my back. But I thought I can't possibly have unruly eyebrows in my boy's first pictures now can I? What kind of mother would I be?? So I went. I did a bit of shopping too and now I'm cream crackered so am sat in bed with the laptop debating like you, whether or not to go back to bed properlyGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
They take a couple of days to turn up in my account so don't lose heart - it will get there! 3 more months of work for me - bet you're looking forward to finishing work as well.Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

Thanks Mouche! I think I had my impatient pants on yesterday! It was just that the email said: "You have been paid"! It wasn't a fortune, but still, it all helps!
Do you mean 3 more weeks?! :rotfl:
Yes, I've got about the same to go! I was wondering how on earth I was going to cope without having a job, but the boss has been making demand after demand and moaning about everything, so I am now counting down the days!
OPs are a distant dream now - without a salary, it will take me months to save up the £500 needed by my mortgage provider to make an OP. However, my small step for today was to book a free trial with a green nappy company. Easy for me to say now, but I'm hoping to use reusable nappies for the baby as the savings appear to be huge! Just got to hope our washing machine lasts the distance now......Overpay!0 -
hey PBR. let me know how you get on with the reusable nappies. When we had DD my DH spent hours researching the pros and cons of reusable nappies and he claims that "save the planet" wise it was no better to wash and dry the reusable nappies than it was to use disposable ones. I don't think he ever took the money side into it though so would be interesting to know if you save any money.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

Thanks Starnac - I think being a first time mum I have these wonderful intentions that are bordering on naive! I'm interested that your DH came to that conclusion and did notice myself that it's a close call. Since our rubbish collection has dropped to once a fortnight, I will give the reusables a go.
I'll keep you posted on the cost savings if I do succeed!Overpay!0
