stupid question, can i wash the cats litter tray in the dishwasher on a hot wash? obviously with just the litter tray in there and then run the dishwasher on a clean wash afterwards. its just i ment to pressure wash the spare tray and its been sat outside for the past month and is fully of mucky water and stuff and want to make it really clean.

I put all sorts in mine so Id go with yes.. I soak the worst of the ickiness off mine and give them a scrub out and whizz them through just to get rid of germies.

I used to put the potties in occasionally.. and caused a furore on another board when I mentioned I rinse out my mooncup and put that in too.. though that goes in with the cutlery! lol... apparently human blood is far more gross than animal blood from preparing meat for dinner.. lol..

  • thats mad pigpen, its a hot wash so im sure its no different to washing period pants in the washing machine with other clothes. i can do a 75 degree wash on the dishwasher so will whack it in on that before i go for a snooze.

Not too much done here, few loads of washing and we've been for a walk.

    What needs done tonight
    1) get school uniforms dry
    2) get kids dunked
    3) bring something in from freezer for tomorrows dinner
    4) cook some chicken for lunch tomorrow
    5) get school stuff ready, bags, PE kits etc
    6) get me and Rhys's clothes ready for tomorrow
    7) do meal plan for week
    8) get DW on
    9) give livingroom a quick tidy
    10) get table set for breakfast
    11) fill in post office form

It looks like it will be a busy week this week. I'm going with my sister tomorrow morning to her hospital appointment to see if she will be booked for a c-section. Then we'll hopefully get down to see BIL as well as get a doctors appointment to get DD's form signed and see if i have a chest infection.

I've also said i'll help another woman with a DLA form as she has just been turned down for her little boy. She knows she didn't put half the things down so i said i'd help her, some other place said they would help her for £20.... I said i'd do it for nothing, things are tough enough for the poor woman.

Right i better get the hot water on....
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Made my first ever batch of jam! :j I made half the quantity that the recipe said (I only had enough blackberries & sugar for half - I thought that would be good to start off with :)) so I have 3 jars of Blackberry & Apple jam :D DD1 will take one back to Uni with her next week. I was going to use my big saucepan, as it was only half quantity, but decided to use my new jam pan instead. i am glad i did, as i didn't realise how much it expands when it is on a rolling boil  It would have been a very messy mistake!!

I have now cleaned up the kitchen (again) & dinner is on. I have also made some space in the kitchen cupboards for the new jam pan & spare jam jars :j I had loads of Tupperware that I hadn't used for years. i have started listing some of it on Ebay :T i hardly ever list things on ebay (CBA usually :o) so I hope it sells.

Right! Sparklers it is then. I'm planning on buying a cigarette lighter especially;) as I know normal sparklers take a bit of lighting UNLESS we are having the cake here in which case I will just ligh them on the hob.

If you sold something on e bay and the buyer wanted to return it (because it's faulty even though it was new and sealed) would you refund postage? What about postage to return?

Also if she has already left feedback (which was good?) can she change it?

Well done on the jam Good Intentions - yes - it is a bit of a shock the volume of jam on a rolling boil!
