    Morning all,
We got home from doing DD1's bathroom at 7pm last night, cleaned rollers & brushes had a bath then did the stir fry for dinner, it was delicious. I managed to unibond ceiling & walls then 1 coat of paint. sanded all woodwork and put 1 coat of satinwood on. Will go back tomorrow and do final coats. DH has nearly finished the tiles. REDRUBY, we also have had to remove the huge sink and buy a smaller one.

Doing a full roast chick dinner for DH and a chick salad for me. I've lost my appitite for the last few weeks as I feel _pale_ after eating, that has resulted in me loosing 16lbs in 3 weeks, all of my clothes are hanging off me, was a size 14 and now i'm 10. DH rang Dr and made an appointment for me. I protested but he said "I'm Taking You" :silenced:

DGD is sleeping over again tonight :j but will have to take her home earlier than usual as I have to do DD1's painting.
MOLLY, thanks for the playdoh tip. :T
DONNY & ROSYRED happy birthday for y/day
DREAMY sorry to hear about your DF's Mum, must have been a shock with it being so sudden.

MEG, Hope today is better than y/day and that your BM is working.

    JAXX Hope DD2 is OK.

FLUTTER, good news about your GP hope it gets sorted.

    Huge (((((Hugs)))) to Lou. x

    Morning all,

Bright and beautiful day here :j, think I will shove a load of towels in the wm.

We did aout 1/2 the tiles in the bathroom yesterday, will crack on with the others this morning, Oh needs to run out and get more adhesive, should get them finished today, and start grouting. Looks more like a bathroom now.

DD stayed at my sisters last night, she had been out with her inthe day and back for tea so I phoned to see if she wanted to stay, at least she can have a shower there :rotfl:.

Dinner tonight is a very quick omlette and salad, we did not eat till after 7 last night, and fell on the food like a pack of hungry dogs:D

Huge hugs to Lou, I hope your DH makes a full recovery.

    Have good days all xx

    Good Morning x
Hugs to Lou - goodness me it never rains but it pours. Thank you for letting us know Jackie G - you are a good friend x
Beth - I agree with your hubby that you need to get checked out.

Im just about to pop round to see Mooloo as she is on her holidays later today and I have an old camera to lend her. Then going to cook dinner with Kids Dad and later prepare and cook a lot of cooking apples that we have been given. Ds2 loves apple pie/ crumble so will make some of those up for him.

Otherwise a very quiet day as feeling just a little under the weather but nothing too serious for me. Im in dire need of my B12 jab which is scheduled for Tuesday. Hugs xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • morning all!

I'm new on here but have been lurking for a wee while getting tips, motivation etc. I've been a busy girl this morning! Up B4 8am with my hubby who's away helping move a 3 piece suite from one house to another, then move their old one to somebody else and finally chuck the worst one in the skip! It's awfully windy here in Scotland, but not raining for once so I'm determined to get all my washing done and hung out.

So, this morning I have hung out one load of towels, made batter for Yorkies to go with the MASSIVE pork loin joint I bought from Mr T's on Friday, I've got a pot of chicken stock on the go made with 2 carcasses that have been hiding in the freezer for a couple of months, made a big pot of bolognese which I'll batch up and freeze and I've made marshmallow crispy squares! Phew! And all before 10am!
  • Good Morning

Morning all, my body clock is upside down at the moment as I have just come home from holiday. DH is still in bed, most unlike him! I have unloaded the WM and hung washing to dry indoors. I have diced a couple of chicken breasts and put them to marinate in the fridge for kebabs this evening. I have put on about 5lb during my hols so I'm making an effort to eat more healthily.

DS is with his Dad until Monday so I have a bit of space to sort out the mountain of post-holiday washing, then it's back to work on Tuesday. Thank goodness it's a short week.

I have been reading about lentils so I'm going to give them a try this week. I will do a hunt for some recipe tips. I don't want to go veggie but I would like to eat fewer meat-based meals so I will have a go and experiment a bit. I'm sure there will be lots of good OS ideas on here. :)

    Morning All

Just a quick post before we head for DS&GF's new place - mountain of work to do, quite a lot of "bodging" of things. They have lining papered the walls and then emulsioned them Brilliant White throughout the flat - but the lining paper is bubbling in loads of places - not the best application we have seen. Trying to decide if it needs re lining papering the opposite wasy (horizontal) or if it has to come off first.

Front door and bathroom door sticking - so DH & GF's Dad will tackle those those, and try to fix the lounge wooden floor - think it is more glued planking 5" wide rather than floor boards. The skirting is also just like a plank. In the kitchen they have tried to lime wash the pine units, but when you clean them it comes off, so a bit of work to be done there then, they will look better back to pine. DH cut the worktop yesterday so they can get a FF in rather than just a fridge. Also had to move a pine unit, which was open with small draws at the bottom, DS&GF hate it, so that will be going on freecycle today, the old under the counter fridge went on yesterday. They slept there last night, maybe with just a pathway to the bed from the door.

Right have to get off now - will be back later.

NPM hope you feel better soon
    Lou have a big hug

((hugs)) for Lou and her OH

Morning all, was up pretty early but have been pottering around a lot. Made wholemeal pancakes and fruit salad for breakfast, will do a big roast of reduced goodies for tea and going to make a batch of raspberry flapjacks. Have lots of cleaning, tidying and unpacking to do today and a load of washing. The washing seems to be never ending lately :( And I need to CPR my squash plants that got battered in the rain.

I've been so reluctant to spend money since I got a new job and actually have money but today I need to buy gym equipment online as I'm not gonna be renewing my membership. I have my eye on £200 worth of stuff BUT I'm going to DIY it for under £20 :j
