There's certainly no harm in asking if they'll provide a refund, even if there is effectively no chance of this happening thirty seconds on the phone will cost pennies.
Although I am wondering what Currys would do with a used iPad if they did refund it. Sell it as a demonstration model perhaps?0 -

Oh it is almost exactly the same as a PC....
Apart from the fact that, as standard, it is a touch screen tablet with a smaller screen and no physical keyboard, a completely different operating system, no CD/DVD drive and the inability to run Flash...
For starters......0 -
Just flog it on a well known auction site. You might not want an iPad but shed loads of other people will. You will still get a significant amount of your money back. Sure, you will take a small hit but then you bought an expensive product not being sure if you would like it under the impression you could just take it back.0

At work, a customer had an ipod touch with them and asked me if they should get an Ipad.
I put their ipod touch on the counter, got a magnifying glass and held it over the ipod and asked if they want one of these.
They bought the ipad. Some people just believe apple can do miracles and leave their sense at the door.0 -

I purchased an iPad 2 yesterday from currys and it's not what I though to be honest "/ where do I stand on getting a full refund or an exchange for a laptop ?
Thanks
Not much use for you now, but may be handy in the unlikely event you buy another Apple product.
Always buy from an Apple store, either online or in store, you get a 14 day no quibble money back guarantee on everything they sell, it does not matter if you have used the item as long as it is in good condition.0 -
Walked into currys this morning, told them Its not really what im looking for is it possible for a refund/exchange for a laptop ... Opened the ipad box , looked inside .... "not a problem" so went and got a new dell laptop0

Well that's a fine turnabout. Well done currys, I guess.
Just make sure you research purchases before you make them next time, because you may not be so lucky :P.
