All depends on their refunds policy I suppose, but I'd imagine that they wouldn't be too keen on giving you a refund if the packaging has been opened and it's been used.
Didn't you do a bit of research before buying something so expensive and get your hands on one of the demonstration models you can find in shops? I was using one in Tesco not so long ago.
As a last resort I'd venture that you could sell a brand-new iPad via EBay for not much less than you paid for it originally.0 -
Well it's opened , i did look at them of course but you can't really do much on them "/ ... Surely a refund or exchange for a laptop would be possible after just 48 hours ?0

Assuming you bought it in store then you have no legal right to return it just because you don't like it. So you are reliant on Curry's returns policy. It's not very clear on their website, which really seems to deal with Currys.co.uk orders. However, even that gives conflicting advice:If for whatever reason you change your mind and would like to return your order after delivery, we’re happy to refund or exchange your purchase as long as it’s unopened and in its original packaging. This option is available for 21 days after delivery. So it's not clear what will happen in your case as you've opened and used the iPad.
and
We cannot refund/cancel your purchase:
If you return your product to a store without proof of purchase
There is a contract for services with the product and you have started using the services; this would include, for example, a mobile phone subscription
The seal has been broken on any DVDs, CDs, memory cards or software, including games, or on any personal hygiene products such as shavers
The goods were a special order to your specification
Really you need to look at the paperwork you were given to see if that gives their in-store returns policy. Failing that you'll have to take it back and hope for the best. Make sure you still have your receipt because in this case without it I don't think you'll have any chance.0 -
Is there anything in particular that has disappointed you with the iPad?0

The easiest and most effective course of action would be to ring the branch or call in and ask them. Might be worth waiting 'til Monday to avoid the dreaded 'It's Sunday, I can't be bothered' syndrome some staff can sometimes exhibit.
Just out of interest what did you imagine the iPad would do that it doesn't and how does it not match your expectations?0 -
The iPad just is disappointing , I was expecting more than an enlarged iPod touch to be honest especially for the price ....0
-
I'd always thought it was a fairly well-known fact that the iPad is just a big iPod?0
-
The point is , I don't like it and would like a refund/exchange ... Can it happen ?
Perhaps I'm just a windows man "/0 -
As I've already answered, ask Currys and find out. They'll either say yes or no.0

Under Currys T&C (and read what it says on the back of the receipt) You can exchange or refund if within 21 days if unopened or faulty.
If Opened you have no recourse except the goodwill of the customer service.0
