Hello all,
Today was a "tadpole" task looking through old unused calenders. The "reward" was finding other uses for them or if not for the recycling bin. Another "tadpole" job was emptying a compost container and using the compost for specific plants. The compost was "made" by myself so nice that it was free and will benefit the plants.
Football Widow, I too want to get things done now and do not want things dragging on. The weather has seemed better so more scope to tackle outdoor "frogs". Hope the guinea pigs enjoy the sun and grass munching.0 -
Good Morning all
Have several frogs, froglets and tadpoles to complete, luckily its sunny which for me is hugely motivating. Main frog is to find a new job as the one i started last week was not what they sold it to me as at the interview 3 months ago and sadly i left yesterday. Its tough as it was a job i really was interested in but I think its for the best.
So list of variety of frog sizes- Call ballet school to ask them to dance in the panto
- cut down yew trees at end of drive to let more light in
- complete one job application form
- make beds ready for visitors at the weekend
- clear dead summer bedding plants from the pots on patio
S x£400,000 starting Jan 2020 current end date Aug 2041 I would love the end date to be 2027 but will aim first for 2037.

Morning to you all
Dannie - sounds like you are as keen to get outside as I am!
What a lovely day. Just finshing my fruit loaf and cup of tea and then off to start my day. Completed one tadpole already at the library although have to go back and pay my fine as I had forgotten my purse - so a little frog spawn there.
Managed 5 of my tadpoles yesterday. Finished DD wall and just got one left and a bit of touching up - bidding on some curtains on ebay which hopefully I will win. Transfers to go up on border then it will be finished. Spent a bit of time sorting toys out too so that was great.
One tadpole from yesterday will be on hold for a couple weeks until I get paid. The other one I will get done when hubby gets home tonight.
Today I have one new tadpole to add to my list - that's to put an order on the computer - don't like going on during the day as I get side tracked, so will probably do that tonight.
One tadpole from yesterday has grown into a froglet as I had to order a form which I thought I could actually print off - ah another tadpole must text S to let her know.
Managed to put all my washing away (big frog for me!) whilst hubby read some stories to DD whilst she was in the bath, which was great.
Anyway I don't know where everyone has disappeared to but glad you are still about Dannie - look forward to finding out how you get on to to day with your little froggies!! x
Sorry to hear about your job iamsalt how disappointing for you. Good Luck with finding one that suits you better and that you will be happy in. xFootball Widow :footie:

Morning everyone!
I'm still cleaning the roomOff to crack on with that in a mo but thought I'd commit myself on here a bit before I get started!
My mum has booked Thursday and Friday off work and so we get to do stuff together :j but I need to get the house in order before I can enjoy myself! My treat is enjoying the time with my Mum without a nagging guilty feeling and hopefully with a smug glow that the house will be ok when I get back from shopping! 'No guilt' will do. I'm not sure I can ever manage smug as I keep finding things while I'm tidying that bother me (like skirting boards needing painting, holes that need filling...etc, etc). But clean will do for now. We need to get it saleable/photograph-able!
Anyway. My list is :
1. Finish the room - I have about a third left. A third a day so far. It was BAD!But it's a froglet now.
2. Clean the bathroom - which is a mess but never takes as long as I imagine. Froglet.
3. Buy another couple of 64l boxes for my sewing (or should I say, bits of crappy material that I save for when I get chance to sew, one day). Tadpole..
3.5. Buy another stripey Ikea curtain to finish off the dressing room, seeing as making do with a pair (which Dh suggested..) wasn't enough and they don't close properly. That will send me crackers. And I will feel better showing people around if it looks nice. And the curtains do their job and cover up the clothes!! Froglet (because I have to take it up - and they're HUUUGE.)
4. Go through the rooms and deal with all the little bits that I didn't know what to do with while I've been tidying up. Shift dh's tools. Then reassess what needs doing to get the agents in. Frog. Because that's the final step before the photos (gulp).
The first three and a half I want to do before tomorrow morning. Number 4 I want to do before the weekend. Or Monday at the latest.
I still haven't bought myself flowers, I don't deserve them yet! But maybe if I get stuff done I'll choose some with my Mum on Friday.
And I have printed a recipe off for muffins that I want to make for the kids, which will hopefully be fun to do today once I clean the room up.

iamsalt, I am sorry to hear that your job wasn't as you'd expected. I'm sure something will come up soon, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I know that the jobs market seems doom and gloom but I have friends who have managed to find jobs after being made redundant, I'm sure you are staying positive and that somethnig will come your way soon.
Football widow, I was wondering whether your father's funeral has taken place as yet? I've been thinking about you, I hope that you are doing ok.
Mumof2 - Coooooo-eee! Where are you? Sending you hugs missus. x
Dannie, you are so organised! I wish I had your motivation. I tend to get so distracted. I wish there was a phone app to kick my butt :rotfl:
Right. Best get on. This weather is very odd and dusting inside the horrible mucky computer cupboard in the heat yesterday was NOT fun. So I'm going to get going before it warms up! Which it is doing because I bought flannelette sheets and the kids fleecy all in one bedsuits in this past week. And so it's me you can thank for the sunshine! Haha! I was looking forward to getting cosied up as well!
Sending you all frog splattering power and hugs,
Luce0 -
Hello everybody, today I was distracted by kitchen everyday jobs which were food-related. I keep wanting somehow to make anything concerning diet easier; this I view as a king-size "frog". Anyway, I did manage to empty a compost bin and sort some of it, so a "tadpole" was done. The "reward" was having a bath which somehow provided a therapeutic effect. Also, I have begun to prepare for a health appointment. After that's attended it will be a "frog" over with.
Thanks for your comment Football Widow. Yes I am keen to get outside while the weather lasts so will try harder tomorrow. Nice to hear that you are glad I am still "around". It is good to hear from other folks and their "frog" activities.
Lucyeff, hope your muffins are nice. These types of recipes are a favorite of mine and I have a freezer drawer full of them! Interesting how you view me.
iamsalt - thanks for your post also. Good Luck.0 -
Thanks so much Lucyeff for the sunshine, i am really appreciating it! You carry on stocking up for winter!
Dannie - sound like little by little you are getting the life that you want to lead, and are very determined to sort out the building blocks to a healthier life. Well done.
Football widow - you have been busy. hope things are ok for you, and don't forget to look after yourself.
Well i did quite well on yesterdays list, the trees are nearly done (took much longer than i thought) and its made a huge difference to the light in the garden, the ballet school are happy to dance in the panto, i got half way through a job application and the beds made for my friend and her little ones to stay this weekend.
Still to do are and a couple for today- the pots at the front of the house with dead bedding plants
- pick the tomatoes that are ripe in the greenhouse
- call the vet for more tablets for the cat
- Find someone to play Alice in the panto and book a rehearsal place for tomorrow evening
- send in application to put something in the village art show
£400,000 starting Jan 2020 current end date Aug 2041 I would love the end date to be 2027 but will aim first for 2037.

Hi Everybody
We are having a duvet day today (DD is not well so off school). We are sitting here watching kids tv (well what ever makes her happy - bless her). I was supposed to go to work this morning, but will go tomorrow if DD is better. So not quite sure how day is going to go!
I have a little froglet to do later on today, once I receive the email to go ahead (preparing wages).
DD's bedroom is almost done. Just got to re hang the curtains once I have cleaned the rail. Re hang 4 pictures. Then find some space for a few little bits. I am very pleased with the result and DD loves it.
Lucyeff sounds like you have been working very hard. You really could buy some flowers for yourself, plus the fact won't they look lovely in the photographs. Two birds and all that ...Have a lovely couple of days with your mum.
Thanks for asking about my Dad's funeral. It is next Wednesday and is a cremation. Going to go to that but not to the service afterwards as I can't cope with all the people who are going to be there. We went to see my Stepmum and had a lovely cup of tea and chat. She really enjoyed seeing DD and myself and we will definately be keeping in touch. My mum died in 2003 and DH's mum has dementia so DD will appreciate having a nannie to fuss over her.
The muffin receipe sounds delish - I have made courgette and feta cheese muffins in the past, but I quite fancy the ones with bacon in them. Perfect for this weather that we are experiencing.
Dannie the guinea pigs are doing a really good job on the grass. It's not the greatest lawn, and mowing it makes all the bald patches prominent so the piggies do a nice natural cut and we just move them around the garden each day. The boys are more greedy and do a better job than the girs. You prompted me to think about our compost bins well one is a wormery. We haven't emptied them for years but the worms seem happy enough and it gets rid of the excess veg. cuttings. (Piggies and Rabbit have most of them).
iamsalt hope you are still feeling positive to day. I hope you are not cutting your Yew trees down by yourself . If so please be careful!
Anyway DD wants to get on the laptop so i will toodle off now. I do enjoy catching up with everyone. Have a great day. xFootball Widow :footie:

Hello Everyone
I've just been reading through this thread and I reckon it's just what I need to help me get things done. I hope you don't mind if I join you. My little one is off school today with septic tonsilitus so havent managed to get much done this morning apart from watching a couple of DVDs and just enjoying being together - its fab. I'm also quite glad to be out of the school playground today as well as I'm going through a tough time with a particular mum.
Anyway today I'd really like to tackle
Make apple pie for OH - done
Ice buns made yesterday for LO - done
Put ironing away - done
Tidy kitchen table (bombsite) -done (only things left are fruitbowls and library books to be returned tomorrow)
Clean bathroom - done
Hope you all have a great day

Ziggy2407 Glad you are able to join us. You will have seen that a couple of us have 'issues' with the school playground. I now just keep myself to myself, I find I don't manage to get upset by anyone then!
Good Luck with your list of Frogs. Remember to reward yourself for achieving yours aims, even if it is just a pat on the back. I keep forgetting about that bit ...:T
My reward is sitting here with a glass of pink lemonade and my dd looking over my shoulder saying 'what are you doing mummy?' I was going to list everything I have done, but decided to go and make some junk modelling instead! Might get some peace and quiet then instead of 'mummy when have you done?' :rotfl:

Hello everyone, I too have subsribed to this thread and think the idea is wonderful!
This year has been really tough for me physically and health wise and I found I was struggling to do all the 'normal' jobs I do (alongside working 20 hours per week and being a Sales Leader with AVON). Whilst they mess about trying to get my diagnosis, I need to be careful with my health so that I don't burn out - real risk and I simply DO NOT WANT TO GO THERE!!!!
About a month ago I had a mini breakdown and DH and I discussed if we could afford to have some help with the bigger housework tasks - cleaning the bathrooms and the kitchen, polishing etc. After review, we decided that my health had to come first and we took the plunge and now have help once a fortnight for 3 hours.
The difference this has made is immeasurable! I am now not tying myself up in knots if I can't do everthing.:)
However, it has the downside of giving me time and space to notice all the other things which I was simply not getting round to.
Anyhoo, on a more positive note, you lovely peeps have inspired me and so far today I have completed what has got to be the biggest Toad I have - my accounts! Feel so much better and like a weight has been lifted.
I still have some other things I need to do - take photos for Ebay being the most urgent, but if I can achieve one or two things a day - whilst still managing to keep all the other balls in the air I will reward myself with a mooch round the clothing section in A*d* when I do my shopping tomorrow.
Thanks again for all your lovely motiviation - lets support each other! X0
