"...green puddles" do you mean empty? It reminded me of someone who I used to know; used to love looking at all the frogs in their lily goldfish pond. The frogs used to be carried away in a bucket quite a long way and apparently make their way back again.
Anyway, today I will consider my next "frog" plan with a reward nearer towards completion of the task. I presume that this is an ongoing process? Thanks.0 -
Coo! The sun is shining.
Gotta go finish off the shed fittings.

Is it just me or does everybody find that once you are into your frog (or when it's done) it's never anything like as bad as you thought it was going to be?Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Right three frogs obliterated. Yesterday - DD's ballet shoes have finally sewed the elastic onto the new pair so she won't have to squeeze into the old ones anymore.
Today have spent half hour in the garden. Plan to do this everyday that the weather is dry as half hour is not long, kids can be out too getting some fresh air, and the garden is a mess so little and often will help.
Have also washed footmuffs for pushchairs ready for colder weather. I am so lazy I packed them away muddy last year  Now drying in the sun outside. Have said I would give friend one of these I really only need one now as DD is too big to go in a buggy.
Although just by being on here typing I am procrastinating as I am meant to be cleaning right now ...0 -
right i need to join you all..
i have become ovewhelmed by my to do lists and am so behind because of the school holidays ....
so my frog for this week is to write all my to list jobs up / break them down in manageable actions and priotiise which need to be done first...
At times i am super organised and then i burn out and give up and it all goes so badly wrong....at the moment it is more wrong than it has ever been.... as i am behind in all aspects of life - work, home, personal stuff, - i think i am getting depressed so need to try and get it all a bit more organised....
even the basic stuff like putting a meal on the table has been to much for me for the majority of the holidays - DH has had to get the kids fish and chips more times than i like to admit to...
so off to find the calender / diary / and prioritise...
and to get some tea ready for tonight..

Can I join in too please? I have, like many, a huge great pond full of frogs, verging on huge great toads. However, over the next 2 days, I am going to do a tadpole -
Weed the vegetable patch
Been putting it off for such a long time; it looks bad and I just know it won't take long to do.
I'll let you know when I've done it.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Mumof2: Good luck with that then. I've been trying to get out to weed my disgusting garden ever since I joined this thread. Something has always managed to stop me, Weather, visitors, something more important or sloth, mostly the last I fear.
Oh look! It's raining again.
Never mind, there's always the world's best labour-saving device - tomorrow.
In the meantime I'll give the ironing a go.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Is it just me or does everybody find that once you are into your frog (or when it's done) it's never anything like as bad as you thought it was going to be?
Oh that is so true !! And I was mulling over the fact that just by doing my frogs I am feeling so much better in myself.
dannie - you have inspired me. Sometimes just getting the Frog done is a reward in itself as it can make you feel so good.
DD managed her frog today, walked all the way home from school without a moan! Bless her - we went to the shop (her reward) and also the park so that she could let off some steam. How come kids never come home tired from school?
Mumof2 - welcome to you. Weeding a vegetable patch sounds like a large frog to me and very hard work. Well done you.
art - I find I'm a bit like that, start off really well then get tired and it all goes pear shaped. I have found that it is better for me not to overload myself and to do things as and when I feel able. Try not to beat yourself up if you don't accomplish too much. The very important thing for you is to reward yourself, even if it is a pat on the back given to you by yourself. Also sometimes it can feel a bit lonely as you see other people acheiving things and maybe you think that you should be able to do things too - well we are all different and when you hear yourself saying ' I should ...' try saying 'could' instead. I think you have come to a good thread here to start dealing with your frogs! Let us know what you are going to start on and I am sure you will get all the support you need.
MummyEm congratulations for admitting you are a normal mum. How often do we find ourselves thinking, I'll sort that out later!! Been there done that - got the mould to prove it!! Anyway I did read off fly lady someone suggesting if it can be done in 30 seconds do it - so I try to do that now!
Well for me - I have completed the pots and done a spot of weeding, like the idea of doing a little bit everyday mummyem, think I might give that a go, even if it is for 15 minutes. Got most of the water out the bbq and put it in the garage for the gunge to dry out and then I will dispose of it.
Just started mystery shopping and got my first assignment tomorrow, not really a frog but I am a bit nervous, brain isn't the same as it used to be! Also got to print of all the HMRC stuff now that my printer cartridge has arrived. (That is more of a froglet) Whilst I am doing that I am going to try and organise the 'study' (a corner of the living room) so that I can work abit more effectively.
Waffling over going to finish my cup of tea and then start on dinner ... (always a frog for me!!!!!) :rotfl:Football Widow :footie:

hi all
well today i did achieve some things - i now have an up to date vitalist (my online to do list) and have prioratised 10 work things for tomorrow, plus today for the first day in months i worked through most of my after school routine list and the kids had a cooked meal although it was only scampi chips and pizza with frozen veg (as clearing out the freezer is on my to do list:o)
right so at least the kitchen has one clear worksurface so i might not feel so bad when i walk down there tomorrow and i have one shiny sink (the other is full of tomato plants that need the tomatoes taking off and the plants put into the compost)
so tomorrow i will try and do both my morning and after school daily routines plus my 10 work jobs - including a big frog of updating my business financial forcasts...
see you all in the morning - DH is working away so my reward for getting things done today is sitting in bed with a glass of wine reading my novel from the library:T
