Oh dear - i'm never going to qualify for that "special treat"! I am in total "frog denial" mode the last few days. last week everything was topsy turvy with visiting DS in hospital every day so wasn't worried about getting more than the daily stuff done, but now he's gone back to London I ought to be doing so many frogs, they're growing to elephantine sizes and I'm just pretending they're invisible! Will go and count to ten slowly and look at ny ever-growing procrastination list and see if there's anything on there I fancy today....

  • Good Morning All!

I am really glad that our thread is making such a difference. Thanks Ginnyknit for your comments, they are much appreciated!

To those of you who are struggling with your frogs - please don't give yourself a hard time, if it helps just choose a tadpole to start, post what you plan to do and we will support you through - remember little steps and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve.

I did a bit of a back to front day yesterday. Had my reward first (had a nap to recharge the batteries0 and then spent all afternoon on the computer getting lots of little tadpoles done. Decided to tackle the password problem as they occur and write them down (yes I know I shouldn't) but I can't remember them otherwise

So today ... I have listed my frogs on my white board so that I can cross them off as I go. It is nearly 11 and I haven't actually done any of them yet , but did take the dog for a walk with a friend and her children so I have decided again to have a back to front day and have that as my reward and then do everything this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day whatever you are doing ...

I am just too exhausted to conquer any tadpoles or frogs today:(

however i do have a list for saturday, plus when i was out today i saw some little bits that are now in the sale section of a certain department store that would be perfect for kiddies xmas pressies. so not feeling too guilty.

I think my plans for tonight consist of a hot bubble bath and an early night so that i wake all refreshed and ready for frog battles tomorrow:D

Went out to the garden to start the weeding and give the big frog a bit of a fright. By the time I had repaired the damage caused by the wind on Tues., picked the tomatoes and another hundredweight of runner beans, dug some potatoes and done a bit of hand-wringing over the moth-eaten cabbages it was time for lunch.
Perhaps if I went out and kissed the frog it would turn into a handsome prince. Now I could just do with one of those.

I've weeded the vegetable patch!! :j:j Haven't got my reward yet - if I have chocolate or something in front of the kids they will always want to eat it so I'll treat myself whilst they're not at home. That's one big froglet out of the way.

Oh, I actually impressed myself as put down the school dates to remember on the calendar for both children within an hour of receiving it which is something I never normally do. Hardly got any filing to do either so little steps are making a difference.

My list has grown but I'm really trying to do something each day, no matter how small.

Oh well done Mumof2. You deserve a fanfare of trumpets and a quick burst of the Hallelujah Chorus.
    Enjoy your chocolate.

Hi all, things are slowing down regarding the frog/froglet tasks but perhaps this is because with some of the jobs, a little is done towards it each day. e.g. gardening or painting. Also, yesterday I was thinking that some money-saving tasks are so
time-consuming and sometimes this is why "frogs" are not dealt with.
  • Good Morning all -
Well I am so chuffed as I have nearly completed my list of frogs (which [STRIKE]should [/STRIKE]could have all been done yesterday) - just got to clean the guinea pigs out which I think I will do as soon as I have finished posting - it's supposed to rain later so best get it done now.

Big Cheer for you mumof2 :T

dannie you are so right, sometimes we can be so distracted or involved with other things that is why our frogs don't get done, however we can't do everything something has to give!

monnagran well just becareful you might turn into a frog yourself - have you seen Disney's A Frog Prince - a very good moralistic tale!!

Hope your day is going well QueenB- I had a very lazy day yesterday - however I did manage to do all the sewing bits that had been laying about for months - my DD was most impressed as I even managed to sew on her swimming badges for her level 1 - and then reminded me she had been in level 2 for the last 3 months :rotfl:

Done another froglet - took the chicken coop apart, disinfected it, scrubbed it and hosed it down (it's a plastic one). I wiped the nesting box dry with a sponge, put down fresh bedding and sprinkled mite powder in it so all nice and fresh. Oh yes, and cleaned their water bowl too and this evening will mix worming powder in with their supper.

    Phew!

OMG, there's little green puddles everywhere ! Well done everyone! I'm a bit sporadic at the moment, been doing the school run 3 times a day this week - my son finishes at lunchtime, whereas daughter at 3:15. Exhausting and playing havoc with my work! But I have cleared all the 'clutter' off the computer, and tonight I'm looking through my frog list to nip a few tadpoles in the bud. And add to the list. Take a few off, add a few on lol. That way the 40 odd page list won't scare me into submission. Trouble is a lot of things I want to do involve fixing up the house, and that involves cash. Something that when I have, goes in getting the finances straight!

Hope everyone's having a storming saturday!
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
