I really need to join this thread, i simply can not put a foot down without practically squishing a frog:o

At the beginning of the summer hols i was full of good intentions and then slowly days crept into weeks, frogs multiplied and now its back to work with a big green headache:(

Tomorrows tadpole will be to update my calender and diary for the upcoming months especially as letters from school have already begun to flood in with a load of new dates to add (it has been hiding up in my room for most of the summer) reward watching one of my recorded programmes.

slow and steady wins the race:)

    Hi all,

I've been reading your interesting comments thank you. As for my "frog reward" owing, I didn't really think of anything other than how good it was to feel I had completed what I aimed to do. (I am pleased Football Widow that you found this thought useful).

Yesterday, I considered what to do next and realised that it is tasks that involve thinking/deciding upon that are most problematic to start. In contrast, practical/creative tasks are less difficult to begin. End result of finishing both, similar maybe? Until the end of 14/9/11 then:-

"Frog" - do six tasks that involve thinking/deciding.
    "Froglet" - three practical/creative tasks.
  • Good Morning all

You were up early this morning Dannie!

QueenB Welcome - hope you get to grips with getting your calender organised. I have a calender and a whiteboard and a little magnetic week at a glance attached to the white board and I still forget things!!

I was thinking about what Dannie was saying about 'thinking' v 'doing' tasks. I struggle with thinking and making decisions, normally because I feel so tired (don't sleep well). Practical stuff as long as it is straight forward is much easier for me!

Mystery Shopping was a disaster as knew the person who served me  carried on but not sure I will get paid. And I was worrying about it during the night.

Another little frog has crept up on me today - passwords - I am just finding it more and more difficult to remember them all so going to have to do something about that - it is very annoying having to reset them all the time!! (Hence why I am late on today :rotfl:).

Anyway on with the day ... hope you all have a good one

I have done one from the six tasks that involve thinking/deciding.
It was to reply to somebody on another forum and had been on my mind every day since end of August. Quite difficult doing this but so relieved it's done.

Football Widow - I awakened at 3am! Yes, I understand feeling tired/unwell affects getting on with tasks/life. The rest of the day, I'll do something less taxing.

OK, I confess I haven't done my frog yet (weed veg garden - but it has been raining) BUT I have done a tadpole - got all my papers ready for when I meet my accountant who does my tax return :j. I'm not meeting him until the end of September but been very organised and I feel SO much better - I've been putting it off for ages.

My Reward: hmmmm, let's see - think I'll treat myself to some chocolate when I get the children their end of week treat :). I think a bag of Maltesers would go down very well ;)!

ETA: Just gone through my little notebook of small jobs I need to do - got 12 tadpoles, 6 froglets and 1 huge great massive croaky frog (do DH's filing system from scratch). That's not everything I need to do, just things I have thought of quickly. Should be achievable shouldn't it with support! I haven't put down that I have to sort out the attic - will do that on the next round.

Thank you for passing on this excellent idea. My OH is seeing a psychologist and she said he needs to give himself rewards for coping with situations so we are going to call them frogs so he doesnt have to give me long winded explanations when he has overcome something! Ok i have sort of done half of my tadpole:cool:

I couldn't find my actual calender (so that will be one of my saturday frogs:D) but did sit down and record all my important upcoming dates in a pad that i can refer to.

also did 3 other unplanned tadpoles.

    1. Went through all the school letters and signed all reply slips ( now just hope son remembers to hand them in:D)

    2. Made a list of what i need to buy when i go shopping tomorrow for OH birthday, even have some vouchers to use.:)

    3. Went through some paperwork for work (but i will have to add reorganising my folders to my saturday frog list:cool:).

Im happy with that for now, so off for my reward.

    Hi all,

I forgot to say that when I split my frog tasks into 6 and froglet tasks into 3, I am awarding two rewards after completion. Still 1/6 frog completed but others in progress.

Yesterday, I considered that when the task is done some may consider that decluttering/making space is type of a reward? e.g. one of my small rooms is looking more accessible/spacious.

Done a couple of frogs/froglets yesterday. Picked up more pet food from the vet so if the weather turns bad again this year we'll have enough to see us through. It's specialist vet stuff so can't get it elsewhere. But all done.

Prevented a frog spawning yesterday by paying a bill THE SAME DAY I GOT IT!!! I'm shocked. I just thtought I need to be straight and know where I am so tis all paid.

Sorted the electoral register thingie too.

So loads done. Spent time with a friend so will treat that as my reward as we don't know get together much.

I still need to go to Homebase and decide on next frogs - I wrote a list yesterday and came up with over 30 things.....

    Great thread :)
