Hello, I've just popped in quickly to say that I have completed my very first 'organised' menu planner for the month:j Plus, it seems I will be on target grocery money wise for the month.

I just wish to say thank you to everyone for all the tips on this board, and special thanks to thriftlady for her post 'storecupboard list' from the other week or so.:T

I'm back off to bed now, as still feel grotty, but will be back later on to catch up on everyones news.

Madam Tusauds? very very expensive and massive queues most of the time - the science museum is fabulous if he's mechanically minded. most of it is free although they're are special exhibitions that you have to pay for - what is he in to

    Afternoon

Stormybay - Im really glad you decided to join in:j

Queenie - How lovely are you making freezer meals for your friends family - bet that will be massively appreciated

Shez - Aww Bless your DS bet he will have a great day but wont be looking quite so angelic after a day at school:D

DIB - Laughed loads at your fence story - seeing as you are a "council house type" and she is somewhat better than you then I guess now she is going to have to pay for it all:D :D (what a horrible woman by the sound of it)

    Hugs to all:j :j

Well I should have been on my way up to Glasgow now for the start of a mad few weeks but it looks like Im going to have some surprise quiet time instead. Have managed to fit in two new customer meetings for Friday and Monday which Im really pleased about as I had said it would be late Feb originally:eek:

So instead I am going to tackle some of the things around the house for a couple of days imbetween a bit of office work I can do. Need to do some new goals for 2007 which I now purposfully leave till after the holidays as I find I can be a bit unrealistic when enjoying a 2 week holiday with not a lot to do!!

Lol @ moggins 21 boxes of chocolate:rotfl: I have to say I was very un mse yesterday when I closed my eyes thought of England and chucked half a tin of roses some ferrero rocher (which i dont like anyway!)and a large piece of christmas cake away:eek: I did try to offer it around to .....well anybody really but everybody seems to be in much the same position. I figured it was better in the bin Im afraid than in my rather over extended stomach:o

Having said that I am now off to lunch but Im going to choose carefully promise:D My mum has been ill with flu/bad cold since christmas eve and has been refusing any visitors as she just felt soo bad (at 76 I think even a cold is that much worse) anyway I called her this morning and for the first day she is feeling up for leaving the house so Im going to pick them up and take them to the pub for a catch up. Made a SC veg soup over christmas with about 10 veg in so Ill take her some of that to boost her vitamin intake.

Right is that the time:eek: best get boogieing:rotfl:

    Have a great day all

Up late, feel manky. Couldn't sleep till 7 coz of wind and rain - it was so loud!!!

I made chilli mince yesterday using leftovers and will have tonight with some tacos got on sale (mince is better made the day before) and the bread and butter pudding went down a treat. We have some leftover for tonight.

Our son will be home about 3pm and make a start on dismantling shelves. It is going to be a busy day, so lots of coffee needed to keep going.

Our son is really testing us tho'. He has just started dating another girlfriend and wants us to let her sleep in his bed. We let his ex sleep in his bed as they had dated two years, this one has been going two weeks!! He is calling us old fashioned etc and how everyone else is cool about it - the usual teenager yawns:(

So tonight will be the lecture of when they have dated for longer time and if they get serious or not.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

  • Afternoon everyone and hugs to those who need them or even just want them! Having half an hours peace on the computer in between nursery, lunch and dance classes - nobody mentioned that parenthood was quite as similar to a taxi service when they are this young.
Managed to get some bargains in tesco today - they had all their Dove toiletry sets down to between £1 and £2 so thats all the female pressies for next Christmas sorted. Also got kids pyjamas down to £2 for 2 pairs so thats easter sorted for nieces and nephews.
Not got too much planned for today - it's wild outside so think hoovering the stairs is calling, dont think I can put it off for much longer, the black carpet is starting to look white!
Have just thrown dinner into my new slow cooker and will tell you later how it turned out for a first attempt. We're trying to live out of the freezer this month so I just put pork loins, sausages, onions and a very reduced pack of Tesco finest stuffing balls, sausage and streaky bacon in with a drop of water and a stock cube and will hope for the best. :o

    Hi to everyone!
I don't work today but I have been busy (as usual). I dropped the girls off at school and then went to church to help at the 'Drop-In' morning. So after making at least nine pots of tea I came home and finished off last night's lasagne whilst reading this thread.
I made a veg hotpot in the sc last night and can't believe how quickly it cooked on low. It was ready after about 6 hours and so I turned it off before going to sleep, so that is tonight's tea sorted and enough to freeze for another meal. :j
I'm going to do some hoovering/dusting now (if I ever get off the computer) and then collect the girls from school.

Valentine Congratulations on your first scan! My eldest is now ten but I remember almost crying with happiness/relief at her first scan.:D

Just had a phone call from the mystery shop company im with, asking if i completed a shop last fri, told them yes and that form was emailed to them within a hour of the shop, she checked as said that not all my answers had come through to them, so a quaility control office is phoning me back a 2pm to go through the missing answers!! Is this normal??Or are they checking up on me??
