They must have? No, they didn't.

Some stores may have this policy but it's certainly not country wide. You might want to check your information before posting something as fact.

All Tesco stores uses the same website for recruitment. You think they didn't, you don't know they didn't use an address within 5 miles of the store they applied to. Your opinion doesn't change the fact if you say you live over 5 miles you're automatically rejected. Try making an application yourself saying you live 6 miles away instead of rambling nonsense.

Why must some people on here be so nasty? Is it bitterness? We can't be !!!!!ing to one another, we should be coming together and helping each other. Just because you may be unhappy in your job or relationship or whatever, doesn't give you the right to be mean and cruel to people who are just trying to get somewhere in this world. Maybe you should not be on here at all if all you want to do is just be nasty for the sake of being nasty. I'm a member of a couple of gaming forums which are mainly made up of teenagers and they behave far more mature than some of the people on here. So just grow up and be a bit nicer and helpful for Christ's sake.

All problems can be sorted at the till. But once you concluded the transaction by taking payment, it must be sorted a customer service.

Just wanted to say that I worked in a Wilkinson's store for 5 years and the tills were for payments only (except in certain cases). Lots of times I was asked to do plain refunds or exchanges which I was not authorised to do, they had to be done at customer services.

Why should I help someone if they ask me to help them?
Answer A - Because someone ask my help and I am available to help them.
Answer B - Because I am answering posts in this forum and at least I can give my opinion.
Answer C - Because other people are seeking for the same answers and good opinions about the correct answer.

...and the correct answer is A, B and C.

I have 3 years of customer service retail experience plus I'm a 3rd year Med Student looking for a part-time and I can't seem to pass these questions! I can't help but think that they want me to put the wrong answers so they can see if worth the training. Surely it must not be just the questions. I tried different answers as well.

Also, I don't think giving people advice on these things is cheating. We live in tough times and looking for help is not a weakness. People who post just to say "I'm not giving you the answers because its cheating" have too much time on their hands.

I passed this screening the first time I did it, but was not called for interview. I changed my answers the next time, and now I am not getting passed the screening. It is quite confusing I admit.

Tell you what then, why don't you pass over your Med School final year dissertation (making sure to absolve yourself of any intellectual rights) and I'll see how you get on and then either submit it myself, or make it better.

After all, "We live in tough times" and so you should do all the legwork whilst I sit on my bum and copy your work.

Had a family member referring me to a tesco position which required no interview which seemed ideal at the time, they had me answer a questionnaire and equality thing, so did that and the family member said this was fine, so they'd take it back to their line manager as this job was not advertised online or anywhere else and said the only competition I had was someone like me who wouldn't work well with people, bad social skills etc so would hear from them in a week or so. As there would be no interview the family member said there would be a work trial for a day working 2 hours to get a feel for the job after this point the job would be offered or not.

But in the end I was never contacted, and the family member said always call back, but I was never given a phone number to begin with as they just assumed I knew but this was through a family member so surely I would have an advantage over the other guy since I worked in a similar role.

I just tried again, and failed the screening. It is baffling. I checked my answers, so a bit at a loss now.

Perhaps there require a period of time before re-applications? IDK.

Nope you are to good for them that is what that will mean.
