    Thank you...............

OH has expressed concern that I am too skinny now and I quote:- 'I use to be able to get a good hand full, you have shrunk and I only have half a hand full' :o I won't tell you which part of my body he was moaning about!!

However, I think it is time for new bras, as the cup is far too big on my existing ones:o plus my knickers sort of roll down now if I am wearing a skirt! :o

How are you getting on with your machine,? mine is here for another week, then OH will have done the Great North run, so he is sending it back.........

Awwwww, hubby will be mega chuffed on days when people ask how he managed to pull such a stunner!

I'm on it every weekday. I attempted week 2 of Couch to 5k last Friday and survived and just finished it again this morning. It's really hard work though and I sweat like a good `un. I "run" every other day and just do a brisk half hour walk on non run days. Hubby runs every other day too (he's lost 10lbs since July) so we're getting our money's worth!
Smashed through my weightloss target. Looking at 120lbs+ loss. BMI over 40 down to 20.5. Training hard to get body fat under 20%, not far to go now :j
  • Well done everyone! We have tipped over the three stone mark and this is the beginning of week 2 so :j:j:j:j:j us!

Oh and I lost this week - two pounds, so still on target for my Yule loss :D

  • morning everyone

I got home yesterday but didnt manage to weigh in

I was dreading doing it today but.... I have lost 1 lb:j I am delighted as i hardly moved when in hospital and seemed to eat loads!!!

Anyway I now have to lose at least 2lbs by next wednesday when my dietician comes so I need to get my head around this and be really good - the only problem is I am going to my cousins for the weekend which will involve lots of eating!!!!!:rotfl: and not the right eating either!!!! if I am good between now and frday then it might lessen the damage LOL!

keep up the impressive losses everyone - you all seem to be doing really well

  • Weighed this morning and have lost 1lb :D

Would've been nice if it could've been two but am happy with just having a loss tbh! Got back into the swing of things by going for a nice 35 minute swim last night. Today I have to go into town so instead of driving seeing the weather is nice I am going to walk in with the pram so thats 30/35 minutes each way and I am also going swimming when hubby gets home from work.

Still haven't been brave enough to start the 30 day shred yet though! :o

  • Good Morning everyone. Did my weigh in and I am allegedly 13st 8lbs bit cautious here because my kidneys still acting up so weight goes up and down like a seesaw. BUT still sticking to healthy eating so trend must be down.

Good losses this month so far and I notice an air of people "settling into" their eating and exercise plans. It's easy to get impatient, I was hoping to be a size 14 by the time I go on my hols - end of Oct - but that isn't going to happen still I'll be a comfortable size 16 and that's ok.

    Love Ma
  • Morning all,

Still haven't weighed yet, but am hopeful for Saturday. I will be gutted though if I don't see at least 3/4 lbs after being so good. The thing that's worrying me though is that my C25K and weights will have given me muscle so it won't be translated into lbs lost on the scale, of that makes sense. I did week 5 day 2 yesterday on the C25K, so have the dreaded 20 minute run tomorrow. I'm dreading it, but OH who's doing it as well, did the big run this morning before work and says it wasn't as bad as he was dreading. He's alreading considering the bridge to 10k app, so it can't be all bad. Can it???

Well done everyone else on your fab losses. You're all inspiring! :j

I've done this (the first 10 days though, not all of it!!:o). It's hard, but it is only half an hour and you can really feel a difference for having done it. I got through it by finding new and imaginative ways of swearing at Jillian every day.

"No shame ladies" is a new catchphrase in our house now :)

  • Hello all and well done on some of your weight losses. I still haven't weighed in yet, will prob wait out till sunday night now.

I am really stuggling with getting myself into a routine. I think I have been so wrapped up in getting my kids settled back into school I honestly haven't thought about myself. I know I need to get on top of this otherwise I will not shift these pounds. For example I sorted out my gym bag to take with me to work today (I am lucky in that I have a free gym at work that I can use at lunch time), got to work and realised I had forgotten my bag:mad:.

I am giving up smoking at the moment (day 7 smoke free):T . I normally run 3-5 miles a week comfortably but yesterday I really stuggled with my breathing:( I am hoping this is due to me kicking the smokes and will improve soon. Can I please ask, what is the 30 day shred?

    thanks xKBx
    Just little old me!
  • Can I please ask, what is the 30 day shred?

It's a fitness DVD by Jillian Michaels from the biggest loser. It's got 3 levels with you do for 10 days each, getting progressively harder on each level. It's really intense, but only last for just under half an hour and gives great results. Unless you're like me and give in before finishing it!
