301k in debt and morbidly obese - things aren't great!

Nothing controversial today - so far. In fact I thoroughly unsettled my colleagues by being charm personified and praising them fulsomely for every single suggestion they made. This about-turn was inspired by the discovery of the exact type of 4-in-1 biro that I nicked off the eductional psychologist some 32 years ago. It just appeared on my desk when I got in this morning. It must be a sign.
Another NSD for the collection as well. Happy days...Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Finding it real difficult to keep all the plates spinning at the moment - another run missed due to late rising - its taking all my resources to keep up with the weigh-ins and this diary. Down (through no effort of my own) to 22-05, BMI sitting at 38.18. Hopefully I can get back on track soon otherwise all of this becomes an irrelevance. At least another NSD is anticipated.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Don't think of them as plates, think of them as those whack-a-mole things instead - that way if you hit them well done, if you miss they will pop back up again and you can have another swipe at them, no guilt, and more fun imagining smashing them (helps me anyway)Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

OK, so after running on Mon, my groin muscles really hurt yesterday. Woke up this morning doing a silly shuffle as my calf muscles have seized up:(
Was hoping to do another one tomorrow - is this wise?0 -

I think it's a good sign............. you must be less" o.c.d." about it all if you are managing to let some" plates "spin a bit slower.:T
I would prioritise my "plates", maybe you just should concentrate on the most important ones first.
sounds like your body is taking the sleep it wants, whether you like it or not:cool:

Love the whack-a-mole idea! Dorastar's right: it's not how many times you 'fall down', it's how many times you pick yourself up, and with work and two small children to juggle (back to your metaphor), this isn't going to be easy.
It's about what works for you - weighing frequently keeps you on track but if you miss a day or so, remember it isn't the weighing that loses the weight and if you can keep the calorie balance positive you could be in for nice surprise next time you weigh.
Your diary: vastly entertaining for us but do we need our fix every day? It's more important that you look after yourself and your family. Just come back occasionally to reassure us you haven't been kidnapped by catflap man or his friends.
Now ask yourself: what's making this difficult to maintain? Is there another time you could run? (I'm guessing not, but it's worth asking). Would it help to get to bed a bit earlier, although I recognise you don't need a lot of sleep? Would a visual chart of runs acheived and weight lost be a motivator? I am sure you'll come up with something - and equally sure it won't be straightforward! As they say, you didn't gain weight overnight and you won't lose it overnight either, but every 1lb lost is a victory.
One more thing - almost forgot this is a MS diary! - feeling deprived of treats doesn't help. Shame lettuce doesn't count as a treat, isn't it? There's a long road to go in learning that empty calories are false friends. If you look at how much you used to spend on takeaways and alcohol, and maybe put that much into a jar every week then either pay that off towards a debt or use it to go somewhere as a family... might that help? Doesn't stop you having some treats, of course - that's important.
Sorry to go on so much, please ignore anything that doesn't help (or tell me where to get off). Just want to give you a shove in the right direction as what you have achieved so far impresses me greatly and long may it continue!Miggy

Fabulous diary, spent the last 2 hours reading it all! Keep at it, we all have off days and dont think your on your own, I gotta shift 100+lbs!

After exercise the next day is usually not good but the day after is the real killer, so by tomorrow you should be okay. After running stretch your calves by standing on the edge of a stair facing up leaving your toes on it and stretching your heel off the back of it. Very good stretch but do hold on to the bannister so you don't break your neck!
Woo hoo Mr B. I'm going for a run tomorrow if you care to join me. Not 4am for me.
Just to let you know also Mr S's own brand toothpaste is half price 37p per tube.
Catch you tomorrow Mr B

OK, now things are getting really wierd. The 4-nib biro that I inherited yesterday was nowhere to be found today. I was then summoned to the office of one of my bosses where I was surprisingly not told off for anything and stuff I'd done wasn't considered rubbish. As I was leaving, I noticed what I presume to be THE pen on her table. Mindful of the ever-increasing jobless stats and the fact that a gentleman never robs a lady, I decided to let it go. It's enough to turn a man to wine. Fingers crossed 4am seeing me pounding the streets tomorrow. Thanks for all the supportive messages they definitely keep me going.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)
