  • Bicarb of soda is your friends mr b, either sprinkle on dry or make a paste and apply to the affected areas. Vac off when dry. May need a couple of applications. Hope DS is feeling better soon xxx

  • Another NSD! And third consecutive AlcoholFree Day. Must get a sig sorted out to record all this stuff sometime. To be honest it's a tough one tonight without a drink, feel the need to switch off from work and domestic related blah and the cup of tea I have here just ain't doing it. Still got some of that lousy tequila in the fridge and the heinous crime against taste that is Bitter - there's a 4 pack of that scowling unloved in the corner. But the day I start drinking bitter will be the day I hold my hands up in surrender and accept that the good times are never coming back. And that ain't the Bloater way of doing things.
  • Well done! Great diary btw, subscribed last week and been reading with interest. Sounds like your finding your feet with the battle through. Good luck:)
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

It's all good Mr B, I had a drink for you tonight. The first one in months (I only drink about 3 times a year, xmas, new year and the odd one off sometime in the year really). I don't even get through 14 units in a year never mind a week but that's a good thing :)

  • Grrr! Have overslept considerably (to the ripe old time of 5.40) and so my little corner of South London is denied for the second consecutive time, the Bloater roadshow. First time in 3 weeks (since I restarted running) that I've dropped 2 days on the trot so I guess I should be pleased that I am annoyed rather than relieved. DS has not had a good night - nothing serious just the grumps from a cold, so I been marching up and down them stairs like the grand old Duke of York's men. I am in serious awe of Calpol. It has magic properties. My Calpol is Carmenere and man do I wish I had a bottle of it (in the house I mean, ready for this evening, have no wish to be drinking red wine at this time in the morning).
On the plus side, weight is now down to 22-11 and the BMI slightly dwindled to 38.90 so still moving in the right direction.
Here's hoping everyone has a Ruby Tuesday after yesterday's Blue Monday.

Dont worry you can get back to pounding the streets tomorrow. Bitter urgh nasty stuff but i have been known to raid OH's stash and diluting it with 35p happy price diet lemonade bingo nice shandy! Shove some in the tequila too make it into a (not so posh) cocktail.
  • Well done with staying off the booze Mr B. I have joined you in the quest to have alcohol free week nights. The worst time for me temptation-wise is when I am cooking tea, but I definitely do sleep better when I can resist it. Ditching all those empty calories also gives me flatter tummy and a fatter purse so on the wagon I shall stay (til Friday at least!!)

I know exactly what you mean, that when you can't do the running two mornings in a row, you're annoyed, not happy - that really does mean you're on the up. Stay with it MrB, you're doing great! Loving the sound of the potential wonga coming in at the end of October!

  • The Bloaters have jumped off the MSE bandwagon for a night in an attempt to bring some life back to the house - so we're putting the Friday into Tuesday and ordering a takeout. It will be worth every penny.
