found an Adam & The Ants sun visor - you can't put a price on a piece of pop history like that. Well, I did, at £10. So it's time to sit back and watch these items soak up the bidders!

I'm not telling my husband about that, he'd probably buy (and wear!) it :D

10 items selling: £44.09 at least in the bank so far, plus am definitely thinking thanks to Firewalker about a wordy sideline to my regular job.

Currently enjoying the fruits of yesterday's NSD/blatant thievery - it might be nasty wine, but it's still wine, and most importantly - it was free wine.

And Mrs B has plundered her wardrobe and found me 5 items I can flog next time there's a free listing weekend - so it's all looking good good good at the moment - many thanks to everyone for helping get me back on track. This time I need to stay on the rails.

Make sure you don't take paypal for collection items -cash only or you are leaving yourself open for not received chargebacks.

Oops, that's kinda taken the shine off the Bloater breakfast joy of finding we are now £63 up on the 4 items that have now finished. Never thought about any dodgy chargeback things from collection only. All items are listed as Paypal only - could I get the people to sign for the things on collection, or even take a photo of them picking up the stuff to cover myself? Other than that, I'll just have to put my faith in the honesty of people - I restrict bidders who have been involved in any disputes over the last 6 months. Plus I have their home addresses so they would have to be very very silly to mess with the Bloaters... Anyways, tis all a learning curve and the sun is out so I am determined to find 10 things to list on Mrs B's newly set up eBay account, am determined to have a low spend day, and determined to keep on with this mission.

and talking of very very silly... now have 3 watchers on my £10 Adam and the Ants sun visor. Scary stuff....
  • no - without online proof of delivery a buyer can claim all their money back and take your goods, and ebay and paypal will not accept a signed bit of paper. Never rely on a buyers honesty.

Just ask for cash on collection on your listing and if they pay by paypal refund and ask for cash

That is what I do - having being stung and Eb*y no help whatsoever. Also if I get a request to collect then I always say yes only if prepared to pay cash........funny those people dont bother to bid.

Once again, I doff my invisible hat to the very visible help I get from the wise folk on these forums. Contacted all buyers on items sold, and revised all descriptions on listed items to be cash on collection only. Makes a lot of sense now I think about it.

In other moneysaving news, Mrs B received a cheque for £16 out of the blue from her former lottery syndicate, and now one of the watchers has pulled out of the great Sun Visor viewing. Am quietly confident I'm going to get close to the required target moneywise before the holidays end.

You nearly had four... just popped across to have a look! I have no idea what I'd do with it though, and it's not my colour. :D

And no, I'm not the one who just pulled out, ;)

Great to see Mrs B is on board and helping out. The more you can pull together, the stronger you'll be, even and especially if you have different stengths.

Am confused Mr B. There's nasty wine. And there's free wine. But I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as nasty, free wine :D.

I've been watching Adam as well, but I'm not a watcher IYSWIM :rotfl:.
