I can thoroughly recommend running and boxing as great coping mechanisms for dealing with the long drawn out stress of restructuring and threat of redundancy. I will also say that both times I have been made redundant I have moved on to something different and better, so a positive outcome is a possibility if you let it be.

    Good luck!

would commuting by bike be an option for you Mr B?
I know what its like dealing with kids, life, work and trying to keep a routine
thats why I started commuting by bike
Im returning to it after a shoulder op(2 months of sloth!)
  • Can't do the school run on a bike so the two-wheeled option not for me. And please nobody mention bicycles made for two (I'd need one made for three anyway). In further gleeful news, our friends from Ofsted are back in again this week. Won't be much action on here til the weekend that's for sure.

...cos it's allowed when Ofsted are in residence. I have some homebrew bubbling away in a pair of demi-johns in my kitchen, I made it out of fruity tea bags, very mse..it's looking a bit dangerous at the moment, I googled it and apparently it is at the 'aerobic fermentation' stage...scary stuff  Hang in there Mr B and all will be well x

Ofsted's over and the school is out of special measures. That's 14 months I would rather not go through again. I got personally graded as a 'good' which isn't too bad and the combination of the two events should mean that any work-related concerns I had about impending redundancy are now gone. So tonight I will nurse a bottle of red and then make a concerted effort to get back on the wagon of righteousness. Am going to try my luck at flogging vintage games consoles and cartridges this month on eBay as vinyl sales continued to disappoint last month. On a very plus note, got my first Kindle royalty payment (of £10.40) in my bank account the other day. That alone is enough to inspire me to get my writing hat on again. Especially as it would give me an excuse to spend all waking hours in the shed when the mother-in-law arrives at the end of the month.

I think the problem with his MiL is that she is still breathing.

When it comes to retro gaming, make sure to check the completed auctions to see if it is worth listing or not.
Some games such as the 'Zelda' series sell very well indeed.
