I still haven't quite maxed out my overdraft this month and haven't bought a thing on a credit card yet this year so I must be getting a bit better.Yay Mr B, that is great progress :T:T:T:T:T
Good feelng not using the credit card.....:D
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Back from another 3k blast (blast being the completely wrong word but a lot more upbeat than the shivery stumble it really was) and finally plucked up the courage to go back on the scales to find I have returned to the portly climes of 23stone1. Plucked up being almost exactly how I feel I have done on the weightloss and moneysaving recently. Anyhow, no point in sitting around like some defeated plucker, I shall plucking well get back on track and will do my best to not use CC's during the end of the month darkness - this should be very easy seeing as most of them have been cut up, and concentrate on getting into the unchartered terrority of below 22stone before that plucking magical day at the end of March when my beloved mother-in-law returns2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Well, GOOD PLUCK, Mr B (from a long-time plurcker). I wish I had your determination - but you certainly have my admiration. Maybe we should swap?0

Well Mr B, I finally got to the end of this massive thread at 5:30 am this morning and what do I find?
Mr B in a somewhat defeatist mode:mad:
Hrmmm: Let's recap shall we?
Shed Tetris has produced some gems to be sold on thebay.
You have developed a knack for lying in order to gain free cardboard:D
You are more aware of your spending habits.
You have cut down on your alcohol intake.
You have cut back on those moreish take-aways
You have introduced MrsB to this this diary:A
You have survived the OFSTED report.
You have made your writing available on Kindle.
You have inspired a lot of folk on here too.
So what if you do three steps forward and one back - you are moving forward in a positive way.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -
Isn't there a saying somewhere about the effect the little things you do and say have on other people and how these things snowball? I've had a dim January but your challenge has been my waking thought throughout and I knew at some point I'd get my a*s in gear and join you. You inspire me Mr Bloater. Keep going. The Friday run didn't happen, and as for Saturday morning - at precisely 3.30am little Princess Bloater decided that she couldn't splutter alone and so her and I cuddled up on the sofa downstairs watching Tiny Pop. I guess being a fat dad is better than being a cr*p dad.
My dad had a solid beer belly his whole life. He used to joke 'Why have a 6 pack when you can have a half barrel?!'. Now that he has gone, one of the things I miss about him is lying my head on his 'pillow' when we were both sat on the sofa to watch TV whem I was little.

Hmmm. The week's not quite panned out as planned. On Friday 15 of my colleagues learnt they were losing their jobs. The future for the rest of us is less than certain. On a positive note, the shed is a bit clearer. Desire for the running has been there but not enough to actually do it - am sure however that tomorrow morning will see me out there. Thanks to all for some really positive posts recently, hoping to get some optimism back myself soon.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Hi Mr B, sorry to hear about the job insecurities, I hope your job is safe though. I can understand the running taking a back seat this weekend while you've got that on your mind!
Hoping for a better week for you.0
