Mr B - if it's icy we will permit a spot of skating instead of running but don't come a cropper and set yourself back, because there are a lot of us relying on you for inspiration as well as entertainment. :)

Not sure about the calories in Stella but sausage rolls are a dangerous thing to have in your fridge because, in this house at least, they get up and wrap themselves around ones waist, whence they are reluctant to depart.

*Miggy gives up the unequal struggle knowing there is Stella in the fridge here too but the bottle doesn't tell you about calories. T'internet does though - 221 calories in a 550ml can.

** Says a lot about Miggy that the temptation was not the Stella but needing to know the info!:D

Northern Lassie - sorry to hear about your oven. I feel your pain. We went out and bought a cheap (MrT) slow cooker when our main cooker died. It solved some of the problems of being oven-less and was so nice we are still using it - I think they are now £12.

  • Hmm. Will I get away with two hours solid of tidying and general bustle around the house instead of a run? Hope so, as it be mighty icy out there. Sold 11 records last night - which was nice, eBay is still ticking over slowly but surely.

I agree. Best to eat them now to get them out of temptation's way :D
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

You have two sets of objectives - one fitness-related, the other money-saving. I'm sure you can substitute work on one for work on the other as long as you're happy you can keep on track. But you might want to either invest in something like yaktrax for running, or find an alternative form of exercise for when the weather is bad. There are lots of online workouts ...

Good luck with the tidying and eBaying :)

Thanks Miggy, it is indeed a pain in the @rse but as we are renting at the moment, hopefully will be down to landlord to provide a shiny new one :o We are having some weird meals at the moment, it's a bit like camping!

MrB, 11 records isn't slow! Its bleeding fantastic!

And I do agree with greenbee, you need an alternative for running when the weather's like this, we're only at the start of the bad weather ....
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • The eBay sales are meaning I am running out of cardboard at an alarming rate - the top grade stuff I got the other month (used to wrap BMW windscreens in transit - top notch for us cardboard professionals) has almost run out - which is no bad thing as it's bleeding heavy and almost wipes out any tiny postage profit I hope to make, so it's going to be time to take DD round the Co-Op again. Any ideas for an excuse - I could just be predictable and say we need it for a cardboard dinosaur again, or maybe a cardboard nativity scene, or... ?

I have no clue :D I dare you to say you're an ebay seller.

Or you could say you're building a Wendy house...

Just make sure DD doesn't let on that you haven't yet made the dinosaur...
