Nurse, "Can you feel that?" to which I reply in a kind of a shrill, "Yes". Doctor then retorts, " Why didn't you say anything?" Nurse, "You didn't even flinch but I was wondering why you eyebrow was twitching." My repley was simple, "You are waving around a scalpel in one hand and a laser pen in the other Doc, I want the snip, not castration!" Awkward silence...
Reminds me of asking just before I went under anaesthetic asking why surgeons were called Mr rather than Dr. The anaethetist said it was a throwback to when barbers and butchers performed surgery.

I'm likely to be in a minority of one who is relieved that today's potential minefield passed off without any incident whatsoever. Have to do the same thing in a fortnight's time though. On Moneysaving notes, have 15 top quality collectable records due to end their listings tonight later and only 1 of them has a bid on (that's at 30quid tho so nothing to complain about) but am either going to end the night on that, or else some crazy figure once the indie geeks see what goodies they could buy. Saved more money by missing out on a car I was planning on bidding on. Hiring a skip round here costs the sharp end of 150quid so I figured for 200 (it went for 202) I could get this scruffy T-reg Golf estate, with 9months tax and MOT and use it not only for tip runs but then flog it in a few months after giving it a Valet for at least the sale price if not more. Ho hum, can't help thinking the viewing public are gonna feel somewhat disappointed that there was no tale involving police chases, spilt samples or being caught with trousers down in the hospital.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Well, that's a very good reason for us to keep reading for a fortnight.
Good luck with Ebay. :money:Miggy

Tee hee! Glad it went well, tho a story involving police chases would be fun
Ebay - yep, that volatility is the reason why its a good idea to list on free listing weekends only! I'm glad your records are getting such a good deal tho!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Yes, we are. Still, we have another outing (;)) in a few weeks to look forward to :T.
How did ebay end up?A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Well done on getting to the hospital on time B.
We live so rurally that Dh's samples had to go by post (don't know how they factor in the lack of freshness, but perhaps i don't want to know..) sadly one got lost in the post (poor sod that got that, in an exciting gold plastic mailing bag no less:D) and he had to do a third. At least he eventually got the all clear!!Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Uh-oh. Worrying signs afoot. Am just losing the drive for all of this malarky - the rebirth of the running suddenly stopped again, haven't weighed myself in days, haven't tried to pep up interest in my kindle releases and am just irritated by ebay, and as for this, well, posting on the forum used to be one of the first things I thought of upon waking, today it's taken me til 11.35 to even remember I'd forgot.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)
