Did a 4k run for the first time in over 3 weeks. Had forgotten how much longer it seems than 3k. Feel brilliant now.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

And back down to 22-07 (BMI 38.36). Am also starting to like ebay a bit more as I know that I have at least 75quid coming my way on Friday. Today's challenge is the Bloaters visiting our friends in Whitstable without touching the credit cards.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

You're on a roll again! Fantastic! :beer:
While I adore the cardboard dinosaur theme, can I just point out that cardboard is one of the things greenies use all the time to slap onto bits of garden as mulch? Of course, you might not *want* to be thought of as a greenie :eek:

Appropriately enough, Mrs B was talking about getting an allotment yesterday til I retorted out that a) you have to wait for years round here to get one, b) we'd never go to it, c) it would cost money. So we are planning a vegetable patch - not big, cos we can only afford to have one around 6 x 6 foot - any recommendations of what and when to plant. Am heartened to hear that when the cardboard dinosaurs are extinct I can use them for mulch. But what's mulch?2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Otherwise, and this may be a novel idea, you could wander about at the local library and check out the gardening section
There's a huge number of blogs - millions, I suspect - of people who garden.
With 6 x 6 you'll probably need a little path in the middle so you're treading on the same bit of soil all the time ... otherwise, perennial? very easy? salad? definitely home made compost! save eggshells separately
You're sorry you asked now, aren't you:p:p
ETA - mulch is the stuff you put on top of the soil to stop weeds growing. Has to be permeable, to let water get through to the plants you *want*. And biodegradable. Cardboard is perfect!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:But what's mulch?
Mulch is dead cardboard dinosaurs. Left long enough, it becomes fossil fuels and as such a valuable commodity. Then you can Ebay it. *Oh boy! A new victim, er, convert ...

Cardboard also incredibly useful if you are planting roses somewhere in the garden where roses have been previously (usually a big no no). Put the cardboard box in a hole in the garden, fill with rose and fresh soil. By the time the cardboard box rots away the rose is strong enough to fend for itself.
