  • Reserved following items:

2 No. 2 person dome tent.
    5 No. Fire logs
    1 No. Fire starter blocks
    1 No. BBQ tool hooks

    Store: Northampton

Recieved a phone call within 15 minutes of placing the reservation saying they couldn't provide any of the items.

Having been in the store around 2 hours before I didn't hold out much hope the tents which were £1 but I know very well they have the fire logs and fire starter blocks on the shop floor. I'm actually going to go into the store today with my reservation to get these items and then ask to see the store manager.

I have never received anything I have reserved at B&Q since the sytem was introduced.

I always reserve items at stores such as Argos,Sainsburys,Tesco Direct etc and i've never had any problems so i never thought B&Q's stock levels would be so bad in Manchester. It never occured to me that their stock levels are NOT up to date online.
I saw the stock was showing as being able to reserve on the 15 pound bench,so as the store is 10 mins away from my house i didn't actually reserve it but went straight down there and they didn't have any.
When asked why stock was showing as available online the SA said it doesn't always get updated,or something like that,i can't remember the exact words.
If a lot of people actually complained in writing, they might actually do something about wasting peoples time and money on their ridiculous system.

arrived at store today at 7am to collect my items - staff were only just printing off the lists for picking and realising that everything was out of stock, and they werent planning on ringing people to let them know 'until an acceptable time of day'

its a 40 mile round trip to my store, so i was well peed off. why couldnt they check orders yesterday that were for collection today - yes no-one is going to want to be woken at 7am with a phonecall, but its better than wasting my time on a fruitless trip

To be fair, my reservation didn't say it was available to pick up until today, but they went out of the way to sort my order last night :)
