B&Q r&c grabbits post here, and please help to force B&Q to upgrade its R&C system!!!

Can we put our heads together on how to get B&Q to upgrade their online reserve & collect (r&c) system.

No doubt there are many users on this board who have reserved an item showing as 'in stock' and have been telephoned by a member of staff who tells you the item is 'out of stock'. Or worse still you don't get a phone call and you make a wasted trip to store at your own expense.

There is no excuse for B&Q to have a system as awful as this when other retailers such as Argos have a r&c system, which imho, seems pretty reliable. The main problem is that the B&Q r&c system does not update stock levels quickly enough.

Some suggestions i have is to send an email of complaint here: [EMAIL="BandQCustomerServices@b-and-q.co.uk"]BandQCustomerServices@b-and-q.co.uk[/EMAIL] stating which store and what product was out of stock and whether or not you made a wasted journey (perhaps someone could develop a template email where you fill in the blanks)
or,
Post in this thread all the out of stock reserve and collects including store, item and whether or not you made a wasted journey.
or,
***we gather 100,000 signatures asking MP's to have a discussion in the house of commons***

To be fair, at Argos the majority of stock is kept behind the counter, with B&Q, they take the stock off the shelf, so as far as they're aware, it may be in stock, but someone has literally just picked that last item up from the shelf. I think it's fair enough.

This really shouldn't be in grabbit forum as it isnt a grabbit/deal

I agree though there collect and reserve is rubbish they dont often put by any goods, I have very little confidence in their system and will only use B&Q as a last resort

Not when it happens so often. There's more to it than that.
