Reserved several items (same order at 3 different stores, all 'in stock') from B&Q yesterday am but decided to go down at 9am to see if any offers instore, well what a disapointment couldnt find hardly anything left, went to 2 other B&Q's really little in the way of anything left in this sale at all.

Three of the same kind of item reserved at these 3 stores and all 'in stock' but all out of stock and non in store yesterday early am -dreadful service from a rubbish company.
At least I got the phone calls to let me know - Last night.

Just to add apparently still all in stock according to the website this morning, You would think a big company like this could get there stock level system sorted out .

Eventually, i'll send all the complaints to the relevant person at B&Q.
There's also an email address in the first post for sending complaints to.

  • Thanks OP fantastic find. Got the family camping starter kit - unbelievable price.
Thought i had found the 2 person tent for £1, was marked up at £7.50, went through till at £5. Explained on website £1, CS checked it out even though tent looked identical the one in store had a slightly different barcode and would not sell it at £1. Didn't bother with it in the end, only wanted it for the children to play in.

Awnings (not sure if spelt correctly) were £50 from £199, all out of stock in my local, someone else might have more luck.

Thanks OP. Just got a Santa Cruz Table & Cayman Chair Set online for £199 plus £10 delivery. I am really pleased. We have been after a nice table and chair set for a long time. Went into the Crewe branch to see if I could get the family tent pack as they were showing in stock on the site but there were none left and apparently sold ages ago.
  • I went on Thursday, didnt reserve anything just went armed with a list which the website said was in stock, hardly got anything, I mentioned this at the till and the guy asked me what I had been after, I said the Hawai benches, he said they had been out of stock for ages as had the £5 tent I was after. I did get a £1 tent as all the staff were nabbing them.

    FiFi :)

B&Q may have been out of stock for tents, but Millets (in-store) were selling the Euro-hike items for £15 for a 2 man tent.

Spend over £20 online (3 man tent) for free delivery.

The B&Q Gelert pop-up tents were not waterproof, though the eurohike tents were.

The tent collection is adding up, now a Hartwell Outlook L 10 man, a Gelert 4 man medium dome & now this little slim-line thing.
