    Morning all :hello:,

I got a good find in the charity shop yesterday...two immaculate M&S school blouses for DD, age 11, 50p each. She really likes them but up till now has been wearing polo shirts and school sweat shirts. to wear the blouses she'll need a cardigan and tie, so maybe not such a saving after all lol. The school has a For Sale box though for lost items that have not been reclaimed after two months. Might get a tie in there.

    .
Can she not just wear them under the sweatshirts?? would look just as smart if not more or are they rigid with their uniform policy?

thats fantastic news :j:j:T:T tell her well done - is she off to college in sept?

Thanks to you and all others who sent congratulations, yes her college place is now gauranteed :j, she is doing a diploma course in social work, and she hopes to go onto Uni to qualify as a social worker, is it one of your daughters doing this too ??

Well done to all others who are pleased with their results.

Islandmaid your poor dd, but she is still very young, and that extra year makes all the difference, bless her xx

Tappers, hope you feel better soon xx
  • Thanks everyone:A

Islandmaid...sorry to hear about your DD`s results. It isnt the end of the world and it can be put right. Of course it will be hard for her to see that at her age bless her:o. My son had ADHD as well as the autism, and tourettes, and PDA so it is a bit baffling at times as to which one is causing him problems....usually a combination of them all:o
DS is upset about the cat and I think that has caused most of the probs today.
The cat has just been down and eaten some of her new biscuits and that is a start:D
I am researching about the ins and outs of her renal disease;)

  • Well done to those getting their GCSE results today, commiserations to those that didn't do as well as they hoped but they must remember it isn't the end of the world. If need be you can resit or go down a different route ( apprenticships instead of college etc ) these things can always be fixed if you put the effort in :)

Dropped H2B off in town after work, hate driving in the centre of town, I always panic as there's that many bus lanes and one way systems but I managed and got home in one piece! Pottered round the house for a bit, swept floors, cleaned benches down and finally bit the bullet and cleaned the bathroom. I got sick of being the one always doing it but it hasn't been cleaned in weeks now ( I was deliberately leaving it to see if H2B would do it but alas he's happy to live in a pig sty! ) I couldn't stand it anymore so spent a good half hour scrubbing it clean. Also had a quick dust and clean in the bedroom and need to motivate myself to get some studying done but after a long day at work thats the last thing I want to do!

Feel like just having a nice soak in the bath and an early night but if H2B has to get a taxi home ( there's no buses to where we live ) then it'll cost at least £20 which is just a waste of money so I said I'd pick him up so just hoping he's not back too late.

NPM - Sorry to hear about fatcat, pets are such a worry aren't they

Taplady - Hope your feeling better soon, I think it sounds as though a nice soak in the bath and an early night is what you need to!

redruby - Thats great that shes got onto the course she wanted

    sistercas - I bet it'll look lovely when it's all finished :)

Islandmaid - I'm so sorry your DD hasn't done as well as she'd hoped, she's bound to be upset, I'm sure in a few days once she's cried it out a bit she'll be more open to suggestion and willing to listen :)Well you can't undo whats been done so just start afresh next month and try again :)

bramble1 - That cottage looks lovely as well, but if you have a car it does sound as though parking's going to be an issue

Well I should really get to work now, will be back on later :)
Going to get to grips with food shopping again, starting February!

Got married to my lovely hubby on 12/11/2011 :D

I am being a lurky lurkersome just now but just wanted to say that I am feeling delighted and very proud of "our" children today. :j:j:j

Marie it IS funny, I have been smiling every time I think about it, and I have a spare wooden spoon, if its any use for your delapidated freezer!:p

    Night all, take care. xxxx
