    Hi everyone,

Well done on all the results, I hope you all have a good time celebrating.

NPM I hope Noah calms down for you. Do you think he's reacting to you being upset ove Fatcat?

I'm a bit freaked out at the moment. I took ds and gf to Stansted early to catch a plane to Belfast to go to a wedding. I was shattered when I got back and went to back to bed only to have a really disturbing dream. I dreamt that I was walking along with mum and dad towards some snow capped mountains. We were joined by lots more people including several family members. We were all just milling around and then I saw dad starting to climb upa hill by himself and I followed him. I caught up with him and he turned round and kissed me and said "I love you", which he has never said to me before and then turned away and carried on. It seems really ominous but rationally I know that it's because I've got the thought that he has terminal cancer in the back of my mind all the time. Has anyone else had the same thing happen to them?

:TWell done to everyone's DD's/DS's GCSE results. Don't tell them but now the hard work really begins...:o

Morning all. Made myself not switch on the computer in the morning because i get too distracted:o. I have been generally batch cooking today for the freezer. I have a batch of Spicy North African Soup on in the SC, made a double batch of sweet potato gnocchi, in freezer already using pots that needing using up and a Shepherdless Pie and a batch of Lentil Bolognese. Just got to bake something sweet for the snack tins so am browsing recipes for inspiration:D.

Will hopefully get 1/2 hour on the cross trainer before DD gets home from school with her friends goegeous doggie she's caring for today as the whole family is at her sisters wedding. Will just make me want a dog even more...was browsing Cocker Spaniels last night. Just need to get saving as we won't buy one till -we have a bit put away for all the extras that will happen in the puppies first year..DD said she will forgo any xmas presents this year if it means getting a puppy:D.

a light dinner tonight- h/m guacamole with veggie sticks then greek salad and fried halloumi then off up to visit the in-laws. If it stays fine we may fit in a walk whilst we're up there.

    Hi everyone,
This is a displacement activity, I should be finishing the church magazine, only done half of it and I really wanted to finish it today.
Some fantastic exam results, well done. Red Ruby, Penny pincher, Uolypool and D&DD you must be so proud, it was worth all the tension.
Taplady: Hope the cold is getting better and you are feeling more human.
NPM: Oh, poor you. Just one of the things bugging you today would be driving me to drink. Hope Fat Cat will be better soon - don't you wish they could talk so that you could explain things? I would think Noah has picked up on the worry about FC and is expressing it the only way he knows how. Lots of love to all three of you.
Here at chez-nous I caught a distinct glimpse of the bottom of the ironing basket today. YAY!
Lunch was belly pork done for four hours in a low oven. Delish. Have put a reel of masking tape and a Sharpie next to the freezer, hoping that meals will be a little more predictable from now on. No more chicken pie with custard!

Really well done to all those with fantastic GCSE results. My DS2 passed all of his, which is a minor miracle as most of the time he is so laid back he is horizontal:T:T:T Anyway we are very pleased for him :T:T:T

So sorry that Fatcat is poorly but she is in good hands xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Hi all,

Congrats to all those GCSE,ers out there:T

NPM - glad Noah,s a bit calmer, my eldest now near 18 and sufferred ADHD all the way through, have had some challenging times over the years, but you sound like an ace Mum, give yourself some TLC when you can, was always a bubble bath for me:)

I,ve had a bit of a day DD did not do well in exams, she,s only just 15 and has had alot of problems this year - sobbing her heart out at the moment, I have told her not to worry, as she has another year at school and can re-sit, but falling on deaf ears at the mo:(. I will pop in to her again in a while, is in her room watching rubbish dvd,s :o

I am also fed up with my lack of willpower over my spending - just received a HUGE parcel from approved foods, enough junk/ snacks to last at least a month, but put me over my August budget. I did promise myself that if I came in under, I would put the 'savings' towards the food slicer I crave - at least I havn,t given in and just bought it, like I would have :rotfl:

HM chilli n nachoes tonight :D

    Take care all x
