Ohhhhh no! hope you feel better soon
Sorry if I've got this completely wrong (head is a bit mince these days!) - had you felt anything / had pain before your check-up or has everything happened in the really short time since then?
ETA just re-read that and thought it might come across wrong (again don't always get things to come out how I mean them to!) - just meaning .... it's scarey how quickly things can just appear IYKWIMGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Hi,
Pain started, just tweaks, then it felt like a band being tightened across that one breast. Then I found the lump just before Christmas. I was noticeable but you had to feel for it. By 9th when I saw surgeon it was 3cm across and now its bigger again and the pains radiating into my arm.
Last time I had absolutely no pain. Tumour also appeared overnight. Again 3cm and triple negative.
Genuinely don't think the pain or the growth is imaginary...but apprecaite it could seem that way. In fact I hoped the pain meant it wasn't cancer as it's unusual for pain to be a symptom.
I think that because the tumour is where the breast tissue and the chest tissue meet that it's pressing against nerves whereas last time it was full in the fatty tissue.
Hope that makes sense.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Totally understand as mine was painful last time as it was on the nerve.I'm triple negative too which is a real bummer and both my cancers were the exact same pathology, unfortunately they can't operate on this one as it's in the sub pectoral muscle0

your pain could also be cellulitis or lymphodema especially going in to your arm0

Ahhhhh that's what I was worried you'd think when I re-read my post and not at all what I meanthuge apologies ......
Not sure if this is any better - I find it hugely scary that a lump can literally appear overnight (although it's probably been there a while before it's "feelable"), without any hint that there's been something wrong and/or no pain or anything beforehand.
A really close friend of mine has BC too and she was the same, her lump literally appeared overnight & that's what's so scary about it all.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I've got to go to the ward after the line's in on Wednesday. I'll ask them what they think and see if they've any idea of timescales.
Both mine have been triple neg as well. It's fascinating how only 15% of breast cancer in white women is triple negative but rises to 25% in black and latin women. You'd think that would offer some interesting opportunities for research.
Are they going to give you radio this time or try Tamoxifen if you're a wee bit estrogen receptive? Hope you're not in any pain this time.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Oh Rising no apology necessary. I think it raises a very valid point, intended or not.
The scary thing is that I had no sign of cancer under my arm 9 months ago...ultra sound, palpation, mammogram etc. It's gone from nothing to 3cm plus in 9 months. That means the cells are doubling every 10 to 14 days and the reason I want to shrink it asap.
Last time was exactly the same. Felt it in the shower on the Thursday. Hoped it would go away. Still there Friday, went to Dr same day and rest is history.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
