Glad that you got some cleaners in to help and that you are resting.SB will be happy that he has his mummy so don't worry.Definitely put work to the back of your mind and don't even think about returning until your 100%...my DR told me the chemo takes aboiut 2 years to get out of your system and remember they have poisoned every cell in your body..is it any wonder that you're ill..it's hard to take things easy but it has to be done or it will take twice as long to get better xxx I hope you don't think I'm having a go at you as I'm not it's just I'm generally concerned for your health xx big squidgy hugs xx

Chev - I think dad was concerned I was developing my own cure for cancer in SB's room and as he's part of the house he's squeaky clean now too. Still appreciated the gesture tho especially with exOH still hanging over me. :D

Auntie Taxi - I never in a million years thought you were picking on me. Only a fool ignores advice from people who've been through similar things but admittedly I'm a bit of a twonk sometimes. Howvere I did listen hard to you all and not take that job last month so my brain is processing some sensible advice (and then still trying to convince me that I can "mind over matter" this). Thanks for sticking around even when I am an eejit :A

Managed radio and oncology today. Got home about 2pm and just made dinner, but now I'm truly exhausted.

I've spoken to SB and asked for more help with dinners, dishes etc without having to chase him up all the time. He's off doing dishes now. He's a good, lad just focused on his world and misses the fact I'm really struggling at the moment :o

Of course SB is a good lad.
He just lives in his teenage bubble and that is how it should be.
Glad thats another radio out of the way.

You're so right Beanie...I've never cried over a pot of mashed tatties before....it just seemed to much of a mountain climb earlier. Still having kitten time now and the Dark Teatime of the SOul has passed lol :D

Consultant asked how I was feeling. I replied "Tired. Absolutely exhausted at times."

The reply "Ah well getting back to work soon should perk you up!"

I could have just wept :(

Thanks guys. I think oncologist is mad at me because I officially complained about her junior consultant who didn't read my notes and tried to fob me off with the one-sided surgery!

Yesterday ended up with an unnecessary discussion (again) about Tamoxifen and now she's decided I can really have it if I insist but I'll need to have my ovaries removed or a fortnightly injection into my stomach to suppress all ovarian activity, go through a full menopause as a result and have daily blood thinning injections for 5 YEARS as it'll up my chances of clots and I've already had one. Given my oestrogen receptors are so low that there's a miniscule chance Tamoxifen would have any impact at all, the side effects are ludicrous. She knows this, I know this but I was made to formally say I'd refused when offered yesterday!! Can't wait to finish and find a cave to hide in lol.

I think the "Get back to work you slacker" feeling was just to add to the general ambience :(

I must work on being a nicer human being :o

don't know what to say about the Tamoxifen issue as luckily I'm totally negative so no use to me so no protection for me where as you are slightly positive so it would offer protective benefits for you..it's a hard one
