Well that's 12 sessions down, 13 to do.
In earth shattering news, I managed after visiting O2 to get my iPhone up and running. It's been in the biscuit tin so long that the 18 month contract was up and as it was twinkly new, there was no point in getting a new one so took a £45 a month cut in tariff instead...oh happy days :j
Managed a couple of geocaches today with SB and Husky. Found 1 but not the other and all logged via new and shiney phone.
Off to bed now, but planning on more out and about tomorrow.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Hi KJ - glad your dad paid for some cleaning for you. It makes a big difference simple things like that. I know from your perspective its frustrating what you can't do - but I am still in awe of all the things you ARE still managing to do like geocaching!!!
I had an injection into the stomach thing before my hysterectomy for 6 months - and it wasn't pleasant. I had all sorts of weird side effects and even an infection in the injection site at one point so not something to take lightly. I was very glad when I was able to stop that.
I think with all these treatments its tricky like you say to make sure the benefits outweigh the side effects.
Still think you are one amazing woman.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi SH, not too amazing today. Went out with good intentions but feeling a bit crook so home again. At least I'm giving in rather than going til I drop which is good
You've done so well since your surgery and other health problems. I'm not going to get back to work for a while yet so coming to terms with that.
I'm definately not doing Tamoxifen...theres no real upside for me at all so not even worth considering given the hideous side effects known and the ones which may appear. I'm happy with that decision, it's right for me in the current situation.
Having fin with phone...got games of Boggle going which is keep me quiet and amused...win win all round :rotfl::rotfl::A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -

That's another week of radio therapy over. I'm a bit red and tender but holding together and on the last lap now.
Signed up for another clinical trial today which should hopefully reduce the chances of a recurrence if I get the drug. It's a double blind so neither the hospital or patient know who's getting what, fingers crossed I get the real McCoy.
Kitten is growing so fast. He seems to have slipped into a real rhythm with the dog so they happily play chase and then mutually slope off for a nap. SB is spending bonding time with both, he does love and adore them which I love
Flats are ticking along. I've come up with the "Master plan" of putting a friend of mine in the newly refurbished house. He'll pay mates rates but I don't have to worry about it being trashed which is a huge weight off. His current flat is up for rent now and already have a couple of viewing enquiries which is very positive.
Quite weekend planned as I'm still not 100% but getting there now and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. :j:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Glad things are looking up with the flats.
Glad the light being turned back on!!
Hope your weekend went well. Sounds like the kitten was just what you both needed. We are considering getting a dog in the summer.... Not sure about it but we'll see. The kids really want one... I am considering a king charles cavalier in the hope that since it is a small dog will make less mess and be easier to look after. OH would prefer a cat but I have memories of cats with sharp claws wrecking my clothes and my skin when I was a kid so not that appealing to me...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
