Hope that you have positive information soon. I too think of Taxi's fight, and I want your outcome to be different to hers.
I think the plan is a good idea. Especially to safeguard SB from family. Perhaps your accountants can tell you whether he counts as a vulnerable person from a financial stand point and it he does qualify, what extra steps you need to take to safeguard his financial future if you go.

Ello me dear... Just checking in to see how you are ... How's the fridge now ?
I'm still in stupid night shifts and working through various quandaries ... Purely to keep me out of trouble you understand0 -
Hi all.
Sleep, even with tablets and morphined, is elusive.
Wol - regardless of whether or not cunning plan comes off, I am humbled by your kindness and thoughtfulness. Whiskery friends are blessed to have such a champion.
Chev - you are a wonderful checklist checker. The SB issue will come with me to the grave. I will make sure your ideas are included once I have a clearer idea on Monday.
Elantan - knowing you're there makes a big difference. Once I have a better idea of diagnosis, prognosis and broad brush plan then we can start to whittle things down.
I've pulled out of Sundays concert because this isn't a good time for me to be around a large group of people. I'd cry, they'd cry...as colleague said on Monday "I'd be a bit of a downer on the day." (This wasn't malicious btw just very practical).
Not sure if Greying Pilgrim ever pops by but she does a lovely thing each day where she shares 3 things she's thankful for. I think I'll give that a try from tonight. Hope that ok GP.
And on that note, time to get up soon and tackle the hospital. Easy strip kit plus matching socks required lol

My favourite district nurse is very male and wonderful.
I've got used to surgeon doing and undoing buttons now. We chat while we dress - doesn't that sound pervy.
Kittens are both curled up here ignoring horrible weather outside. You must come and see them, and Misha of course, very soon.

You go for it kissjenn - I don't own the idea:D
Sending you strength and vitality by the bucketload (to nick Buffy's metaphor) - until such time as the NHS work out how we can donate it intravenously - hope the buckets don't get in the way.....:p

I don't have a free weekend until after the festive season, but assuming the weather doesn't turn for the snowy you'll be seeing me one Saturday in the near future
The weather is indeed mince today. I took one look and made the executive decision to work from home - I have two buses to get to make it to the office and it's not the weather for standing around.
This was I can log on soon and get some proper work done and still have time to hit Tesco and the Post Office later this morning. Very timesaving!0 -
Hello Kissjenn, :hello:
Sorry haven't been around much recently to offer encouragement - you've not had the best of weeks have you, dear girl? ((((Hugs))))
Just catching up. A slightly odd thought struck me; if the medics do start bandying about the M word next week, obliging you to collect a room full of buckets in short order.. Then to continue the metaphor, you will find one brightly coloured tub with SB's name on it - containing countless bits of paper each naming an adoptive MSE Auntie (or Uncle). On top of the pile will be those who are also RL friends.
It's not called the web for nothing, and the limit of it's power is unknown - certainly vast. At your disposal.
Reading back the above, apologies if it doesn't make sense. Am wearing pharmaceutical goggles; if you are too, it might. Otherwise please ignore - am just a mad dog woman in a field far away.0 -
Thank you mad woman. I've just been to see GP so pharm'd up again. I was delighted that she understood, without prompting, that the next couple of days will last forever. People have been very kind, here and in RL. I also acknowledge that I will happily stoop to emotional blackmail and begging to ensure SB is cared for. However, everyone has offered to be there for him without me begging. I'm very lucky that the good outweighs the bad so comprehensively in this.
My breathing has also gone to pot last couple of days but that's stress, no more and no less.
So goal is to survive til Monday and then cunning plans can be created. Now need to find activities to get me through.
Tonight - popping out to grab an early dinner with SB. Then some good trashy TV and bed.
Weekend to include Hobbit, Husky walks, Geocache or 2, Christmas Present Wrapping and finishing the tree off.
I'm also going to start a new diary on Monday because regardless of whether or not it's metastisised it will require treatment, time-off and good knows what. So lets start the new journey with a clean sheet.
Any title suggestions??:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0
