I've a Husky fridge out in shed so SB will bring that in again tomorrow.

I'll drop you a wee text later in the day Elantan. I see an Olympic sized checklist being drawn up to keep me on the straight and narrow. Was using the reminder system on my phone but has been pants since iphone upgraded their software

Now is this fridge MADE of huskies or contains huskies or what :)

And, thank you for reminding me NOT to upgrade my iphone software - I've avoided it so far and that seems to be very prudent.

Hope you have a good day - plans are good.

My pal (who shall remain nameless and might actually be me) has scanned all her private stuff and put all her very private things on a hard drive thingmy password protected and only her BFF knows the password) its in an envelope with her BFF's address on just in case anything ever happens - just saying. Not that this person is paranoid or anything but she has memories and private stuff she doesn't wish to share with the world and knows her BFF would keep it safe.

Kissjenn I'm sorry you need a plan but I think it is a good idea. When my aunt was diagnosed, the McMillan nurse suggested something similar, and it helped my aunt to feel in control during a time of uncertainty and sadly when the time came it helped us enormously.

Lets hope its a plan you don't ever need xx

Good thing about a plan is it forces you to think through things so even if we never need to do the final stages (well at the moment) it's still a good thing to have. I'm glad it helped you and your aunt, it's nice to know you're doing what the other person would have wanted.
I think it's a great idea to have a plan in place :) how has SB taken the news this time is he ok? X

Have a lovely day (with lots of rest and no sickness) xx

Hi DFW. SB is SB. He's happy now asda plan is secure...he's excellent at setting priorities.

Ditto...I think between the drugs and the emotions and sheer volume of data it's so hard. But we'll get there, again :o

You have a very wise pal Pippi :T I've been thinking about drawers and letters and texts on phones and all manner of things you'd never normally share being laid bare for all to see.

I will update the financials and I think we'll have an unmentionables heading on the plan should we need to really look at winding things up. SB's shouldn't have to deal with their mum's ancient, greying pants on top of everything else. Positively traumatising :o

At moment I'm working my way round accountants etc who are also my friends. This really us the gift that keeps on giving.

P.S. No huskies were harmed in the making of her fridge. If she'd half a chance it would sit by her bed, generating heat whilst keeping her cheese collection suitably chilled. My girl is a classy pooch lol

A friend called me earlier and we had a good cry. My absolute terror in all of this is leaving SB alone to cope in a world where I can't provide for him. She said she'd rally people and if the prognosis next Monday is bad (metastasis) we'll make a proper plan so he's a support network for when I'm gone. To many that may be negative thinking but for me it's a huge weight off my mind. If he's ok then I can relax a bit and do what needs to be done.x

I haven't been able to post because it's hard to find the words but what you've written here mirrors exactly my thoughts when I was diagnosed 4 yrs ago. I started sentences with " I'm not being morbid but....." And of course looking back I know now that I was.

Needing to be around for my son (who was 10) gave me the fight to survive though now he's 14 I sometimes wonder why I bothered! I'm glad though that he doesn't walk on eggshells and our relationship is a normal teenager/old fogey one :rotfl:

My accountant did my succession planning for me it was easy to talk with someone not emotionally involved and I haven't needed it yet but it's done and as he says, I could retire and know it will work without me. :D

I had radical surgery and 4 yrs later I still can't look, but I'm sure that's why I'm still here to cause trouble. Kissjenn, tell them to remove as much as needed this time, no p*ssyfooting around to preserve this and that, do the job properly so you can put it behind you.

And always believe... because believing makes it so. Be strong xx

    Thank you all.

TCC unbelievably this has nothing to do with conservation of tissue. It's trapped in the lymphatic tissue and short of amputating my left side we're stuffed. Last time they didn't do a mastectomy because the hole was so big under my arm that it couldn't have been closed if they'd taken the breast as well.

I've done surgery x3, chemo x 11, radiotherapy x 25 and 2 clinical trials. This isn't a cosmetic sets of options...I've fought for everything they can give me and died twice during the treatments.

We'll do it again and again if need be but it's been the ugly route from day 1.
