    Thanks Buffy,

Couldn't do work today, tbh I don't think anyone expects to see me this side of Christmas.

Overall it's catching up with me now, so tired, sick and teary. I really don't want to have to do this again.

Hi, you don't know me, I started lurking and reading a few diaries last winter while housebound recovering from an op on my foot. I just wanted to say sorry to read your latest news and send my very best wishes across the ether to you and your family (two and four legged) x

  • You have every right to feel that way KJ. I think it's amazing how you've dealt with it all so far and you so deserve a break. Wish I could do something to help other than offer yet more virtual hugs Xx

Thank you all so much. I'm lying on the bed with two purry, furries and a collection of books and notes.

A friend called me earlier and we had a good cry. My absolute terror in all of this is leaving SB alone to cope in a world where I can't provide for him. She said she'd rally people and if the prognosis next Monday is bad (metastasis) we'll make a proper plan so he's a support network for when I'm gone. To many that may be negative thinking but for me it's a huge weight off my mind. If he's ok then I can relax a bit and do what needs to be done.

Also had phone calls from colleagues all pledging help and telling me to kick back now because I'll need my strength in a couple of weeks. People are ridiculously kind to me and you peeps on here are truly a lifeline.

I'm trying not to think about Taxi and the fact she was always just ahead of me on this journey. I know she'd kick me very nicely up the bahooky and tell me to keep going, I wish she was here to do it in person though.

Ok...big girl pants on and let's get through tonight xx

I think that's a great idea tbh KJ ... It's one less thing to stress about

Not morbid at all ... I'm a very practical person myself so would do the same thing

It will be great though when your sitting with this friend in a years time and over a wee glass of wine and say ... Do you remember that convo we had ? Glad we didn't need to put it into action and everything is just fine

And yes ... Knowing taxi she will be pushing you on and helping you when you need it xxx
