Well after much deliberation mouse is looking perky and will be released tonight into a quiet corner of the park whilst kittens are distracted elsewhere for the entire night.

I won £25 on the premium bonds :j

Also we're going to go for a nice day out tomorrow with the husky. For some reason the door handle on the hatchback has seized so we had to put on of the seats down and get her in that way...wee trip to garage on Monday unless anyone has any bright ideas.

And finally has anyone used an iPad for note taking using a stylus rather keyboard? I noticed someone used theirs for note taking in meetings and it would be fab to have electronically rather than the reams of paper I produce. Just wondered if anyone had experience, good or bad or general thoughts on the subject.

Off for more morphine and some awful hallucinations - I am a terrible junkie - can't imagine paying to feel this bleugh

I was really lucky this year and my brother gave me his old iPad. I really love it and would imagine that it would be really easy to use for note taking. The only thing I would counsel with it is that you would have to keep an eye on it changing the spellings of words, as there isn't really a custom dictionary as such. That could become interesting in a work context!

I don't use a stylus with mine, just type on it as normal. I haven't felt the need to get an external keyboard for it either. I use it for most of my surfing and blogging at the moment as my laptop is on its last legs so I try not to use it too much :D

Thanks moo. I've download an app and it lets me draw etc but it's very big because my fingers are the stylus. So I've sent off for a fibre tipped one which seemingly works best. I need to see if I cam capture notes and draw pics and then get them into word or PowerPoint. All exciting stuff :j

Are you on a Whosian countdown? Do you fancy Catching fire the following Monday or Thursday (25th or 28th)?

We were posed the question "is this a good time to be alive?", at crime class this week. Some thought not as it's all going to hell in a handcart but I disagree. I think this a time of change and challenge but there are so many opportunities and wonders to see that I feel privileged to be alive. Just my thoughts, how do others feel?

VERY EXCITED for Who :D:D There are so many teasers and rumours going round t'internet and of course I'm very excited to be seeing it in 3D with my friend :D

I need to wait and see how my work schedule pans out as there's a possibility I'll be in London for work. Once I know I'll shout :)

I'd also like to see the battlefields and Auschwitz. Reading a book based on secret recordings of German POWs and what they talked about. It's frankly terrifying because it could happen in any country not because the Germans were "evil".
Hi KJ could you let me know the name of this book would be interested in reading it

Edited to add, wow to the amount owed. So pants that you probably won't get any of that back either. Fingers crossed you do.

Poor mousy. Hope he is now ok.
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

My friendly Sheriff Officer (SO) is tracking one previous one down to a firm who doorstep people to get money and goods back. The irony of it :rotfl::rotfl:

Book is Soldaten by Sonke Neitzel and Harald Welzer. Truly fascinating and terrifying in equal measure.

Mouse skipped off last night. Seemed happy, relaxed and full of the ham sandwich SB made him.

Hi KC...I think any autopsy would bring back abnormally high evidence of ginger (nuts and beer). I helps a bit but it's been a bad few days. Vicious cycle that I'm in pain so feel sick. Take morphine so feel sick. Hallucinations to follow....most of the calls done for today - they must all think I'm mad, drunk or high...2 out of 3's not bad :rotfl::rotfl:

But we get there...just not by the most conventional route :T

Thanks Rising. My backs tightening up again but just going to ride out til I'm next up on the 6th. Compared to many I've got it easy...just whinge a lot :rotfl:

All that computer stuff I gave singing teacher is useless but I've dug out am old Dell and got it working. That should do the business and hopefully get her back online.

Sheriff Officers started traces and such like on tenants. I've got one to check out 1st thing on Monday so that'll be 6 going over to management ... Getting there slow but sure.

Well it's coming to the end of another busy week. Just watched the William Hartnell docudrama with SB, it was so sad how I'll he was in the end.

Today was a long one but got lots done. Will be in Bristol start of next week and have to miss choir. This is a huge blow to my hedonistic new lifestyle. Still needs must so I'm being sensible and staying over.

Poker and homemade fish 'n' chips tomorrow night which should be fun and Dr Who of course on Saturday.

    Splendiferously excellent fun :j
