That conversation has made me feel much more in control and that there are people available should we move from curative to palliative treatments.
You do know we're not going to let you get away with this though, right? No no no, no way. It is good that you are feeling in control, and aware of the help that is available, but still, no.

Well didn't make it out today. Have sat here drifting in and out of sleep.
Did tidy a little bit and found that the agency that fired me has doubled charged me for some stuff which really pi55e5 me off because then you feel you can't trust anyone.
Hospital haven't called back about checking my line which must be done by Saturday. I phoned yesterday, district phoned today, no idea who chases them tomorrow.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Hi Kissjenn,
Sorry to hear that you're feeling so rough. Little steps are what you need, don't beat yourself up mentally if you don't manage to walk further than you did, just be proud that you managed the walk:T
The turkey and broccoli pie sounds gorgeous! I hope you managed a decent portion and still have enough for tomorrow.

Pie was good. I'd packed up some incredibly delicious giant portions of turkey after Christmas, so took two of those and a bag of frozen broccoli plus some sweetcorn. The pie took about 10 minutes to make and was tasty and very healthy really, We'll finish off tonight.
I'm very confused with listening to my body. At the moment it says "stop". Do the absolute minimum and unless it's life or bankruptcy threatening, ignore it.
But when I do that peeps say..."push though it". The body's a muscle and need exercise.
I have made it out the door and had some lunch with SB. Nothing beyond that but I reckon that's my baby steps for today...it's much too much hard work being unwell!!:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
and these people that tell you to push through it obviously haven't been through chemo and it's side effects..if you do too much your blood counts will end up really low and you'll be sicker than if you hadn't rested0

As far as I'm concerned, you're the lady with the cancer, you call the shots.
I've been laid up all week with a !!!!!! cold and if someone had told me to push through it and go to work I would have rammed a broom up their @rse, so you're being very tolerant0 -
Well I've been dropping off to sleep for the last few days, all day!
I can't get really on top of the paperwork and the tenants have stopped paying again. It's as if there's a bat signal beaming out saying "Don't pay, she's not got the strength to chase you".
Tomorrow's a new day...lets see if we can get a little somewhere then.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Bleeping tennant's.
