  • IF they do change to double the difference etc etc how on earth will the vast majority of CS assistants work out the difference on variable weight products.

Yes, and I reckon there will be CS staff rubbing their hands thinking the scrapping of the R&R policy will make their life sooo much easier. They really haven't thought this one through, have they? So, the SEL said price per KG is £3.23, you were charged £4.21 per KG, the product weighs 1.43KG, and you need double of the difference. Now, where's my calculator?? :rotfl:

and to have to do this on all 8 joints of meat, (only used to take 4 on RandR,) but this is going to be so much fun(nier).......especially the more you take.

  • hello all, this is my first post but not my first r&r. i feel i have to share with you my experience this evening.
went to plymouth store earlier on in the evening. managed to get 3 cokes, 4 chicken breasts, and xbox 360 ghost recon ad warfighter, 27.97-29.97. no problems at all and the cs very sorry for the inconvenience.
i then took a trip to another store just outside plymouth. i paid for 3 xbox 360 ghost recon aw also blazing saddles.27.97-29.97 & 5.97-7.97. all was going to plan untill i got to cs. one cs girl checked the sels and came back and said i had been overcharged. (so still going to plan.)
then she says it will be fine but she must check with her manager.
well this duty manager woman comes down, (face like shes chewing a wasp).
she says to me that i can have a full refund, the blazing saddles dvd, but only one xbox game.
i show her the sign behind cs , which incidently had been taken down in the previous store, and quote paragraph six, but she still wont budge. she asks me why i want three anyway. i tell her that they are presents. but still nothing more is offered. as the store was shutting i decided not to make a fuss and asked her to write on my receipt exactly what she had given me in way of my refund, along with ho number and her name. i left with a full refund and one game and one dvd, also took the sel ticket that was on the cs desk.
i have just got home and remembered that i paid 50 cash and the rest by debit card. but they have refunded it all on my card. i still have my original receipt unstamped which shows this. for some reason as well, they have refunded me 99.88 and not 97.88.
what a total balls up. i feel rather disgruntled and shall be onto ho tommorow.
sorry this has been such a long winded post.

Hellooo Plymouth (my son was there today)
When you call HO you could say that you were peed OFF because you had bought the three games for your three nephews who have three Xboxs (to give your 'sisters' ears a rest) and you certainly werent expecting to pay that! and to get that kind of response from the CS made you feel like some kind of criminal. ;)

  • thankyou for your support eupho. i was made to feel like a criminal and thats not cricket. if i hadnt have bought those games 3 or 4 people could have been grossly overcharged.
i take note of your cunning plan. and will keep you informed as to what will happen next.

    hmm
I think technically you should get a full refund however buying 3 is a bit unfair and its just that sort of abuse of the system that means the R&R policy is changing
also the above post should be in the other topic (for discussion)

Some of the 3 for 2 dvds (usually the 7.97 and 9.97) aren't going through on the offer.

Well I think buying THREE copies of Ghost Recon was taking the mick, knowing full well you were expecting a refund. Even more so as you got a copy earlier at another store. That's just pure greed.

And now you plan to lie to HO in an effort to con more games.
  • totally agree soprano, it wont lie with ho, they'll just ask why you returned the other 2 for a refund if you wanted them in the first place, Im sorry, but this is the kind of action that gets you noticed, banned and cosequently refused r & r's for yourself in the future and anyone else that comes along to the same cs.

Please, try not to be greedy, at the very least, in the same store. No offence meant.

    Therefore creating a misprice?

Sorry to correct you Constantine but that was always the way it worked in my store. I worked the night shift on C.S.D. and the offers always expired midnight Tuesday. The idea is that each department will remove any ending offer sel's during the Tuesday. If we had time we would do a quick flick round the store b4 midnight to make sure they had all gone. But it would revert to normal pricing at midnight or shortly after. And yes - full refund on mis price.

Cheers. Although to be fair, I was talking about now, not what used to happen ;)
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure
