Thanks for replying but unfortunatley I am now home and peed off, any other ideas of how I can get my money back would be hugely appreciated.

    Thanks

If they have still left the £6.95 SEL on the shelf then try to get an R&R with a different member of staff. Just point out the item at the bottom of the blue board if they try to offer you the difference again. If they don't budge (99% chance they will remember the policy at that point!), then ask for the manager.

If they have taked if is now priced at £7.25 on the shelf then just ask for a straight refund (preferabiliby not with the person who offered you the difference) as its within 28 days and give some excuse like your other half bought some coke when he was out.....

Am I getting this right? If they DO go to double the difference, there may still be some deals that are worth doing? I remember a while ago getting charged £22.99 on a DVD box set (can't remember what it was) that was stickered at £9.99. Am I right in assuming in this instance that I would have got £24 back for my £23 spend? Sorry if that's completely silly, maths was never my strong point!
Even better - you would get £26 back
This new policy (if it happens) will only be truly beneficial to those R&R's which have a big difference like the one you stated and then only if you want product. It would be pointless R&R'ing something that yields a few pence when you didn't really want it - but if you did want it then a reduced cost item is always welcome.

So, overpaying by £13(£22.99 - £9.99), gives double difference refund of £26, against correct price spend of £9.99.
    Thus, £16.01 to the good(£26.00 - £9.99).

I now how £15 worth of coke I never wanted

so why get it then - oh yes, of course, just because you thought it was going to be free.

This sort of greed makes me so mad - you didn't really want the items (as you yourself have stated) but because you thought it was going to be free you took it anyway. Nothing but greed

oh, isnt that sad that it annoys you, you would have been even more mad (even madder) last year when lots(and i mean lots) of us got multiple consoles that we didnt want, the money comes in handy though.

I dont think Ive ever RandRed anything I really wanted......but there again, I never really want for anything.

  • IF they do change to double the difference etc etc how on earth will the vast majority of CS assistants work out the difference on variable weight products.

No, surely £3 to the good (plus the DVD, of course)? Remember, you have actually PAID £22.99 in the first place.

Nobody knows yet, all the answers you get are speculation, for all we know it may say

    Double the difference upto £3.50

Double the difference upto the value of the item.

Double the difference if you aren't a previous RandRer

No one knows, but I'm sure we'll find out more in the next 7 days.
