Tesco misprice discussion area part 17

The term golden r+r was created to describe the fact that Tesco usually mark a receipt to indicate it has been refunded so it cant be refunded again. A golden r+r is when you receive a refund and the receipt is unmarked allowing you to return it for a 2nd refund.0

To reiterate my question relating to the use of a loophole in official Tesco policy (and not theft or any kind of illegal activity)
With R&R what is the best way to get the item. Actually allow it through the till and pay then go to CS? Or mention it after it has been scanned at till.
I assume best option is to pay up then contract is sealed right?
Also is it a feasible thing to actually take a fistful of games to the self scan and try loads to find erroneous prices? Or is it likely that the eye in the sky monitor the self scan?? And does the self scan link to the main shop tills - so they can see someone has been price checking? Or am I thinking too hard about this and I should just get in there and grab some freebies?
Hi Arthur.
You must pay first!
If you mention it at the till chances are the price will be corrected manually - before you've paid.
Once you have paid - then go to CS.
Self Scan - my views are known - I always use them and have never had a problem doing so.
IF you search MSE for 'scan, scan, scan' you should find my guide to using Price Checkers at Tesco.
And yes - get in there!

Did I mention a shiny?
I wonder... anyone know if you can R'n'R bulk purchases of kitchen foil so I can wrap you guys in it?
Points made, either side. Now... lets continue. Anyone know of any glitches in the Earls Court Tesco? I've never ever ever done a R'n'R, I just want to try it.:rotfl:0 -
Strange, my real life is connected to everything I do, including when I post on forums. Unless I'm imagining all this... wish i was.
So, about those R'n'Rs... anything in a basic Tesco store worth looking out for?:rotfl:0 -
I don;t suppose you have a direct link to your thread do you "Hey Dude"
I did a search and couldn't see it at first glance in the 12 pages of results...
It seems like quite a loose search

The Gordon Ramsay 'Makes It Easy' cookbook seems to be a pretty good one as it looks like it's working all over the country. Stickered £8.97, scans £9.97.Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? He's a mile away and you've got his shoes.0

i like shiny, it's pwurdie. Want to go see if my local tesco has the gordon ramsey book now, they only have a teeny tiny book section and from what i remember glancing at it, it was just fiction but i could be wrong. London isn't good for deals
Will check on foil prices when im there...:rotfl:0
