edit.... However, to suggest that Tesco, (or indeed any other supermarket or major retailer) deliberately sets out to defraud its customers in this way is simply ridiculous.:p
I'm sorry, but how can you defend an organisation that reports profits in terms of BILLIONS when it's more interested in what it's shelves look like (see previous posting on "rumbling") than it is in pricing integrity. It can hardly claim that it would be too expensive to sort out or that it dosen't have the financial backing to deal with it. It's pure and simple, it does not have the WILL to do anything about it.
If it took any notice of the seemingly pointless "reports" that are filled for every R&R - if it took any notice of the forum posts on here, there would be so many fewer overcharges that these forums would dripple with life, not swarm and multiply as they do.0 -
Don't worry all the pious moaners will soon push off to annoy others elsewhere on other threads and we can get to work on the new challenge of worthwhile DTD items.0

There will be a balance of probabilities that Tesco will be under-charging as much as it over-charges through the same pricing errors and inefficiencies.

i was making a point on legalities.(tescos firstly ilegally sold items at a higher price than marked)how is it possible that tescos which employ maybe a hundred in one store who work on average 30 hours a week doing maybe 8 hour shifts that are also open 24 hours a day cant really find any overcharged items where as a lone crusader like myself can spend 10 mins in one store and find maybe a dozen over charges.
if they really wanted to correct prices its easy (but do they really want to) and let us do their job for them
offering a price is an invitation to treat
if tescos didnt have the supply there wouldn't be the demand
people find these overcharges constantly0 -

Was just in getting some food for later and saw that nmot only were some still there but they now ftwo rows of the books priced at £8.87.
Would have got yet another one but it was the same CS lady who gave me my xbox 260 and she stares at me each time I now go in!
The GR book was correctly SELed at £9.97. First time I've seen it correct.0 -

Who is guilty? Tesco for letting hundreds of customers walk out of their stores everyday knowing full well they would have been overcharged on some item, of some kind, in their trolley?....or...The Customer who walks up to the CS desk and challenges Tesco on the overcharge that has occured on their bill? Personally speaking as a customer I feel no guilt whatsoever - the same way that Tesco feels no guilt in overcharging. Feel free to use Tesco for your shopping purposes, but then perhaps this Moneysaving Forum isn't really for you??DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

Not very long if the people who have been quoting up to £1000 of coupon usage since the beginning of January are telling the truth ! Thats the equivalent of 3 x boxes in 6 weeks and if anyone thinks Tesco will ignore that (especially when their management spies can freely read the comments on these forums) is in cloud cuckoo land. So that will be another lucrative money saving dodge shot down. I do think that such excessive expoitation of a good policy is asking for trouble - but then I thought the same about repeated high value R&Ring. Its only my personal opinion and I don't see why some people feel the need to be unpleasant to anyone who works from a different song book. And yes, I loved R&R and I did get a good pile of free stuff - sorry its going now but it was great while it lasted.
I'd like to think I could continue to halve my tesco bill with coupons - but it won't happen if the policy is overused and people advertise what they are doing and rub Tescos nose in it. My local Tesco has just introduced self scanning which is great for coupons but the staff told me yesterday that someone from Asda told them that some customers are scanning their coupons and then putting blank peices of paper in the box ! That explains why my local Asda has now stopped ALL coupons unless you buy the product. We need to use a little common sense if we don't want Tesco to do the same.ELITE 5:2

People are motivated in two ways into doing RnR. First are those that want selfish greedy personal gain and second are those that have moral issues against Tesco. As both groups of people are using the same discussion thread, that's why in my opinion there's always loads of squabbling on here.
My motivation is/was personal gain and I'm not in any way ashamed to admit that. I don't care two hoots about Tesco making billions, good for them, if I had problems with this I would vote with my feet and shop elsewhere.
Nor do I have any sympathy for the thousands of customers that have paid the wrong price. They are obviously all too lazy, stupid or naieve to keep track of their own shopping, and they should take responsibility for their own losses.
I'm obviously sad to see the end of the RnR policy, it's been a great profitable little hobby.
I doubt this thread will come to a close after Feb 26th, but if it does I won't be sad to hear the last of tedious squabbles of all those that prefer this discussion to be all about "consumer blah blah blah revenge" rather than "moneysaving".0
