Tesco misprice discussion area part 17

Sometimes you won't get any refund.
Sometimes you might get twice the value of the overcharge.
If you're lucky sometimes you might the price corrected plus twice the difference.
And of course sometimes you'll get banned from the store.
So putting a finite percentage on it is a little difficult as there is no consistancy in the customer service at Tescos.
But in a perfect world they would just give me free stuff because I'm amazing and gorgeous. But apart from that assuming they were going to do the "right" thing and return the misprice, plus double the difference, then I checked what you said and it seems that the over-charge needs to be 1/3 the price of the original item for it to be free. Anything less means a discount, 1/3 is free, anything more they pay you.
Item £4, charge £6, means £2 refund. Plus £4 D2D, means £6 total refund.0 -

Besides I never suggested the thread was illegal, visiting multiple Tesco stores with the intention of being overcharged repeatedly for the same item would be classed as obtaining property by deception and therefore illegal.
I think you are struggling more with each subsequent post on this one, zultan. Aiding and abetting? :rolleyes:0 -

Where exactly does the buck stop with this one?? :rolleyes:0 -

You just don't appreciate that this will not happen unless we ALL contact TS and put loads of pressure on. TS are more arbitrators and won't act on occasional breaches. Make it a constant stream of complaints and you *might* get somewhere.
What we need to do is get the media interested in the bigger story - that is that this is not a reaction to professional R&Rers (let's face it, £100k to a company that reports profits in the billions is not excatly going to cripple it), it's an admission of guilt, an attempt at transferring the blame and an admission of defeat that it can't get things right - that's the truth; that's what we need to get the Brittish public to appreciate. Once they appreciate that, perhaps Tesco will be forced to take the correct action and not try to blame it's customers.
I have already sent an email to Mirror Group about this and will be copying it to the other newpapers and reporting services throughout the day.
THIS NEEDS TO GET THE MEDIA PUBLICITY IT DESERVES - PLEASE WRITE TO THE PRESS YOURSELVES. EVEN YOUR LOCAL PAPER WILL BE INTERESTED TO HEAR THAT THE LOCAL STORE HAS BEEN OVERCHARGING PEOPLE INDESCRIMINATELY.0 -

Lets hope that they don't come to this site and EPH, they might read the truth about those who are shouting loudest about this policy change...

employ staff specifically to scan this and all of the other forums. Why wouldn't they?
If they do/did, why the devil do they allow overcharges to continue for so long? XBoxes, Gordon Ramsey Books, Horrid Henry books, mobile phones, Justin & Collin books (last year) and SO many others.
It's a crock of you know what to suggest that this store actually cares. It's inaction is proof enough that it dosen't give two hoots.0 -

The truth being what? If you're about to spout something about "greed", go ahead. I'm not ashamed of exploiting a policy when the policy maker exploits its customers far more than us R&Rers exploit it.
The best thing that can come of this is that Tesco actually pulls its finger out and corrects the problems rather than blaming others for it's own shortcomings.
I am proud to be part of a Consumer Revenge campaign. If I manage to feed my family for little or nought as a result, that's a huge benefit but it's not the be-all and end-all.0 -

That the 'consumer revenge campaign' isn't that noble.0
